Unfortunately I didnt have the opportunity to explore various places of the National Park. nonetheless, was exposed to the breathtaking scenery of the flooding Boteti River on the north western area of the park. After being dry for almost a decade, This river flows this far down and meandering through the Kalahari introducing a heaven for bird watchers as it becomes a paradise with a variety of bird species including the pinky flamingoes. The greenery is an endless expanse as if the turfs of all the FIFA World Cup stadiums have been stitched together by a master seamstress

Beautiful scenery, visit the hippo pool to view one of Africa's mysterious beasts (hippopotamus) and the African elephant. Visit in the summer and be captivated by the migrating zebras

A very unique park. The pans are unreal. The game viewing is excellent if you catch the migration, otherwise average.

Beware these Pans / Sua Pans are very dangerous when there has been any significant rain. Coming from South Africa we were unaware just how much rain had fallen over Easter. We asked Botswana Tourism in Letlhakane about the road conditions on 7th April 2015, they said nothing ONLY that we would be fine! Well we weren't. We got bogged 3 times and had to spend the night in our car, and subsequently badly damaged the 4x4. You also go through 2 gates manned by security, they also said nothing. I think this is unacceptable and downright dangerous. Our lives were literally at risk out there - why is this not taken more seriously, especially when it is of high tourist interest??
We also emailed Kubu Island contact / accommodation - no-one responded.
Even if it is dry and not so dangerous I would question whether it is worth the trip at all!!
