Great place to stay close to Maun for trips into (or over) the Okavango delta. There is a nice pool that has some goats visiting every day and a chance to see common genetcats at night; the crew feeds them potato, so they are common visitors. The staff was very friendy, especially the ladies of the reception. They have helped us booking our trips: a mokoro trip into the delta and they recommended to go to the airport for the different scenic flight companies. Because of this we actually got a way cheaper fare than we initially expected and it is easier to find someone (or two people) to hop on the same flight to significantly reduce the costs. Prices for scenic flights are per plane, and then divided by the amount of people.

Beware though that right outside their premises you will have (very long and very loud!) prayer sessions on Fridays and Sundays, so maybe avoid staying there on these days. In the beginning it was fun to hear the singing and chanting, but after an hour or more it is not anymore.

Audi is one of the nicest places where I've ever camped. It is incredibly well maintained and the ablutions are spotless. There is a welcoming bar and a restaurant, as well as a pool and river frontage with a small jungle gym. I would definitely recommend this camp site.

We stayed here in the end of our safari. Pool was really luxurious after 6 nights in the bush. Food was average in the restaurant and the price is 60-120 pula. Theres free ground water available for all the guests. Nice open air showers. Laundry (hand wash!) facilities and charging points.

Where to start

We stayed in the family house which is advertised as having a kitchen for self catering. When we arrived we discovered no kitchen and only mugs and teaspoons. No way of self catering.

Despite that we had a braai, but halfway into the braaing we found out that the braai grid had been spray painted and that the paint was coming off on our meat.

The second night we were forced to eat at their restaurant, which was actually quite nice. Their was a wide selection and was pretty decent.

It's a fairly long drive to Moremi Game Reserve from the camp on a pretty bad road so if your plan is to visit Moremi I would suggest staying inside the camp as it's just not feasible for getting into the park earlier enough to see wildlife.

Overall the accommodation was decent, about 3 stars, but because of the false advertising (which is still has on the brochures they have at reception!), and the issue above, it only deserves 2.

Terrible place to stay. All the Botswana guide books claim this is the place to go yet I found it horrendous. The place we stayed in claimed to be self catering with a kitchen but when we arrived they told us that the kitchen was actually no longer there!

Also if you make use of the restaurant for any of your meals expect to have to fetch your own food as the waiters seem to only be there to take your order.

Would not recommend this place as somewhere to stay in Maun.
