Olathang resort is an extremely well built, huge and amazing resort to stay at, if you're in Paro. It is outside the main town of Paro and is quite a bit away from the main road; so, walking till the main market might not be feasible, but the place is amazing.

We were in a suite and the room was huge, well built, clean and hygienic. Had such an amazing and relaxing stay there. The staff was courteous and very co-operative. Food is a mixed bag though, but overall, the experience was really nice.

Our cottage was in the midst of the pine forests. Views from Balcony and terrace are breathtaking. Superb rooms made of timber. Restaurant is lavishly decorated with a museum at the ground floor. One of the best heritage resorts in Bhutan.

Couldn’t give 0 stars so had to give 1. The staff is extremely rude and whenever you ask for anything they refuse. Plus, the internet is good for nothing. Very unsatisfactory experience. A strict no.

This place was a good experience overall. The location is amazing and rooms are extremely comfortable. However the hotel lacks WiFi in the rooms and there were occasional blackouts. The place is pretty close to the airport. The food options were pretty decent.

A secluded place in Paro with an okay access to the town. There are cottages on their premises and the service is good. The restaurant has good staff , which really helps if you have specificity when it comes to food. Definitely check out their spa!

The rooms lack some modern facilities. There is no fans or AC however it is not required as the rooms are pretty cool even during peak summer. The interiors require better maintenance. The wifi is accessible only in the lobby and restaurant.This is a historic hotel and for people who prefer traditional rooms, this is a place to be. The food is fantastic. The breakfast and dinner buffets have good variety of food and the food is tasty. They also have individual guest houses in between the pine trees. These rooms provide a beautiful view of the town below.

Hotel established in 1974 with Bhutanese design. Good hospitality. Needs renovation in bathrooms. Packed breakfast was not good.

The property is huge n plantation is worth watching. Traveling within their plantation is beautiful..
The rooms are large,well furnished.
Food is beyond explanation. You get real good quality continental breakfast. The non veg food over here is probably the best in Bhutan.

The oldest hotel in Paro is also a great choice still. We stayed in the cottage and had a quiet night sleep away from the Paro dogs incessant barking. The dogs are cute by the way.

The place serves a dinner buffet and entertains larger groups

Other that being a part of history this hotel is pretty overrated. From squeaky floor to absence of a lift makes it average. Although rooms are quite spacious, furnishing is ancient. It takes an expert to control the water flow from the taps. The restaurant food is budget friendly but far from tasty. Only positive is their impeccable service, which is prompt and cordial at the same time.

Outdated poorly maintained hotel with below average food. Poorly ventilated rooms and untidy bathrooms - definitely not a place to remember in a beautiful city like Paro !

Calm and serene surroundings, buffet dinner or order your own. Huge green spaces around, far from Paro airport. Also have cottages. Wifi is a little restrictive to certain areas of the hotel and doesn't have elevator as it's quiet ancient.

Old and good resort. Rooms are clean well maintained. Service is great. Food are good and not so expensive. Location is great. Greenery around the hotel. Only disadvantage wifi don't work in rooms

View from the cottage is beautiful. Good property spread out in a huge campus. Breakfast though had very limited options.

Nice quaint place in Paro, Butan . very nice rooms ,tasty food, courteous staff, old world charm with almost all modern facilities. Close to the city and airport. However the wifi only in lobby which is a let down. Rooms are warm even without heater even at night when temp drops. But a fabulous place to stay in Paro. Highly recommended.

One of the oldest hotels in Bhutan constructed to welcome the VIP guests for the 4th king's coronation. Spacious rooms, great service. Historic and beautiful.

Nicely located hotel in the pine woods; decently equipped rooms. Heating is mediocre as windows sometimes don't properly close (i.e. you basically sleep outside).

Great for groups though a little isolated for individuals. Walls in cabin were paper think, loud snoring was heard all night. If you like Indian food, the food is great. Though if you don't, there were no alternatives.
