Solo & budget travellers can opt for the best located rooms offered at Ugyen Lodge. You will be welcomed by the lodge's warm hosts. Away from the bustling town, Ugyen Lodge is at the seclusion of the wilderness offering peace and tranquil at its best. On a clear weather, you can also spot the gigantic Mount Jumolhari straddling between Bhutan & China spiralling up to the sky at 2700 meters above the sea level. The mountain is the highest unscalled mountain in Bhutan.

Till now, the best home stay I've ever stayed in! The host is very helpful!
When told, they arrange a cab for you also
    Very close to tiger's nest.
    Close to paro dzong also
But the only con is it is 7 kms away from the main cityalso can't go anywhere after dark, as it is in a remote location!

Amazing views down the valley. You can hike up to Drukgyal Dzong and Tiger's nest in the morning.

Dorji, the host is very welcoming. The homestay is clean, the bedsheets are spotless. It's huge and can accommodate around 16 people.

You also get a shared taxi from Paro town to this place for 50 rupees (as on June 2017).

It's correctly termed as "Home away from home".
