Awesome place to stay! Cottages are surrounded by beautiful mountains. Lots of Apple and Peaches trees. You can eat them fresh! Great staff, very friendly and an economical place to stay!!

A word of warning. My review is biased since I had certain expectations and they weren't met. Had I gone here with fewer expectations, I may have had a better experience.

The listing for this place mentions "WiFi in rooms. Television". I had important calls to take and one full day with not much to do but stay in the room and so both of these seemed important. Neither was true. There are televisions only in some rooms. There is a WiFi dongle that is plugged into the socket in the reception and only two rooms actually get an intermittent signal. It failed completely one evening. The staff didn't seem concerned and said it would only be fixed the next morning. Television would intermittently not work and the response was again an indifferent "it'll get fixed when it does".

The place is at least a 10 minute drive from Paro town and there are no other options to try if you want to step out for a bite. Food in the restaurant needs to be ordered several hours in advance. Some in the staff were unhappy and let us know it if we delayed ordering. Or wouldn't take the order at all and insisted we convey it at the reception.

That said, there were aspects I liked. Not everyone was grumpy. Some of the staff were hospitable. The owner is a cheerful and interesting lady. There are books, 2 games (scrabble and chess) and lots of orphaned dogs in the premises. Under different circumstances, we may have had a better time than we did.

Tip: The taxi fare to the stand was 400 (two way) when we negotiated directly but higher for other guests. Negotiate with taxi drivers when you visit Paro town rather than calling them through the reception.

This is the place i would recommend any guys going to Paro
The Chef Icharam was the guy and awesome Indian food..
The Hotel Owner Granny and Karma are a good host.
I Read a bad review about no proper accommodation U must be a gujju i guess.. The value for money is there and u must get yourself comfy with the Beauty of the Paro and the Lodge.

This resort is beautifully placed with nice greenery around it. Even the staffs are always smiling and ready to help. Building itself is very nicely decorated from inside.
But the problem lies with the amenities as the room heaters does not work, hot water supply in some rooms are poor or no water at all.
They should have rate chart with menu card for the food available with them, to avoid unpleasant experience for the traveller at the time of check out.

HAD AN EXTREMELY BITTER EXPERIENCE IN THIS LODGE. ROOMS WERE SPACIOUS, ROOM HEATERS WERE THERE, HOT WATER SUPPLY WAS THERE BEDS & BLANKETS WERE CLEAN BUT NO T.V. ERRATIC WI FI CONNECTIVITY WITH NO CONNECTIVITY ON THE 2nd DAY OF OUR STAY ( 24th NIGHT TO TILL DEPARTURE ON 25th. FOOD QUALITY WAS POOR & PROHIBITIVELY EXPENSIVE. ROTI'S FOR 25/- PER PIECE. BED TEA ( BLACK ) 60/- & POORLY PREPARED CHICKEN CURRY FOR 250/- ( 5 PIECES ).WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY IN THIS LODGE. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU HAVE A BETTER OPTION. EXTREMELY BITTER EXPERIENCE IN SUCH A BEAUTIFUL FRIENDLY COUNTRY.

Best place to stay in Paro.. This should be your stay.. Extremely beautiful cottages.. Very very friendly owner.. She'll help you and guide you through everything around the best way possible.. and helpful staff.. Common room is a bliss to sit and have fun.. Beautifully decorated.. The view outside when you wake up in the morning is breath taking.. Like a beautiful canvas of painted mountains and trees.. Rooms are very decent and clean.. Must stay here if you visit Paro..
