Nestled on a gentle slope surrounded by green pine trees and huge mountains lies a tall orange temple called Dechenphug Lhakhang. It is one of the most sacred temple to all the Bhutanese and there are regular visitors throughout the year. People usually visit to receive the blessings from the sacred local deity before commencing long journey or any important missions. It is believed that all the bad-lucks on our way will be washed away after visiting this temple. Another Significance of this Temple is behind the origin of the name “Thimphu”, the capital city of Bhutan. Visiting this temple always make me feel blessed and free from obstacles in life.

A very scared place in Thimphu Region. People believe in local Deity of that particular temple which intern helps and guides people from negative energy. To get to the monastery, we have to drive a bit from Dechencholing town through the forest which is amazing
