  Let me first start off by saying I am a Corporate Pilot and frequent the Bahamas quite often and have stayed at Cat Island numerous times and always stayed at Fernandez Bay. Well since Fernandez Bay was booked solid I gave this place a try this past trip. If you want solitude and Privacy this is the place to come. The Cottages are very nice and clean and brand new..Every night I slept with all the windows open with the sea breeze roaring through the place and the sound of the Ocean and the Beds are so soft and comfortable..I left my doors unlocked and it is very safe and secure. I have never slept so well. Now this is the Windward side of the Island for those who have never been here so there is Surf and waves to play in. They have two Foam Surfboards and two Kayaks to play in the waves. Snorkeling is not as good as the Leeward side of the island for obvious reasons and the surf, but the beach is secluded and has the Pinkish Tint of Coquina Shells.
  
  The woman who owns and runs the place is named Dr. Olga Clark and she is a beautiful Soul..such a nice lady and a great conversationalist, but the best part is this woman can cook. Every meal was hand prepared and some of the best food I have had on Cat Island and in the Bahamas. Meals are not included in the room price so take note. Now I will be honest the only drawback to this place is the road to get out there, it takes about 10 minutes to drive from the main road to her place because it is a little rough.she is working on getting the road improved but it not a big deal..For my money and for my following visits to Cat Island I am staying here.hands down over Fernandez Bay for me, I loved it here
