Beautiful water and not crowded at all. Plenty of activities if you are into them and plenty of quiet space as well. Many places to just lounge and enjoy time with that special someone.

Great property. 11 restaurants. Great food. Mile long beach. Crystal blue water. Not ovetrly rough Events pool (very active) Quiet pool with hot tub. Extraordinary golf course with back 9 on water.

Ripped me off with a phony HOLD reservation charge- Beware.
I was told by their agent to pay $99 to hold the reservation. Paid it but had to cancel immediately as no flights. They had my CC and put the full charge through and refused a refund saying read the fine print. The hold doesn't mean what you think. Its a full charge reservation. Rip off con artist move. Deceptive. Refused refund. I hate this corporation. Do not trust them with your CC!!!

Emerald Bay hosts a very renowned spa and as well as a Greg Norman designed golf course set within 500 acres of lush scenery on the beautiful island of Exuma. There are 7 restaurants and 6 bars to choose from, as well as a coffee shop that has some great tasting pastries and a jerk chicken stand situated near the main pool. 24 hour room service and mini provided at no extra cost. Emerald Bay has its own private beach with perfect white sand and provides plenty of land activities as well as water sports. PADI certification is an additional cost but is situated on site.
The transfers from the airport to Emerald Bay aren't as good as its made out to be. Its left purely down to the local taxi drivers to turn up and ferry you to Sandals resort. We had to wait 15 minutes after the airport had closed for the evening, in a run down part of the island with minimal lighting and no amenities. Make sure you have a mobile with you so that you won't be left stranded as we were.
If it wasn't for the shambles of being left to find our own way from the small airport to Emerald Bay then I would have given it a 5 star rating. The staff are very friendly and helpful which is a godsend especially since my partner is disabled.

They made our wedding wonderful. It was great to let them handle everything. We enjoyed that the total cost was less than a traditional wedding and were able to spend more time with our friends and family.

Very relaxing resort. Rooms are a little out dated. WiFi coverage is not very good. Beach and the bay are beautiful. White sand and crystal clear water. Great food and friendly staff. Not much for nightlife but very relaxing and refreshing vacation.

Very nice place with awesome views . Pools are great beach was spectacular. Food available was very good. Excursions are another story. The resort is just beautiful and very hospitable. Wonderful time

It gets a 1 because food isn't too bad & most staff are nice.

If you're looking for a true luxury style vacation for a special celebration- don't go here.

First day we got here, they didn't have our room ready until 3 hours later. My husband called to have beer and drinks delivered to our room- 24hrs later and they still haven't brought it to us. The room didn't even seem cleaned shower was dirty, floor had food remains and dead flower petals left on it. Ugh.

Today is our secondary day here & we just want to go home. Our room smells like mildew, the door to the ground level balcony doesn't lock-- we called 5 times to have someone come fix it and no one ever came. At 5am we heard water draining from levels above, 6am sprinklers came on full throttle, 7 am drainage back onoh and sprinklers also went on at 8pm while we were going on a nice walk- ruined.

We're so disappointed that we have to deal with this since we paid so much money to be here. We both wish we knew more in advance this way we could've avoided a horrible honeymoon.

Top notch everything all the way. The most incredible food service and grounds. The pool bar staff especially Terrence are phenomenal. Would come here again in a heartbeat. First sandals experience and would love to try them all!! Oh and did I mention the most beautiful beach and emerald water I have ever seen!!! This place and the staff are heaven!!!

We just got back from our honeymoon at Sandals- Emerald Bay. It was nothing less than AMAZING! Fortunately, we have been to many beaches, and this by far was the prettiest. The resort was absolutely amazing. Staff was so overly friendly, we never passed a staff member without them greeting us. There are 11 different restaurants to choose from, and they were all fabulous with great food. We loved that they offered a little pub which stayed open until 1:30 a.m. where we could socialize and have fun! This resort was a perfect mixture of people of all different ages, and was everything from the perfect zen to a fun pool party. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a mix of relax and fun at the same time! Rooms were great. No complaints!

Really a amazing place to calm down. Food (especially dinner) is amazing. Very friendly people. Service is just great. I can highly recommend this resort. Even when its almost fully booked you don't get a feeling its crowded at all. The sea view is just great and the water can't be better. If you play Golf you just going to freak out ;-)
The place is huge and perfectly located.
Have fun guys and enjoy the escape from realty during your staying.

This was our second trip to Sandals. First trip was to Sandals Montego Bay.

Pros: Beautiful Unmatched Property. Fantastic beach/pool. Good assortment of restaurants.

Cons: Most staff members were at a constant state of neutral, never smiling. Despite the beach being gorgeous, you had to be up by 7 to get a spot on the beach as everyone would reserve their spots. I spent entire days on the beach where the reserved sports got little to no use. Pool seating was the same way at the larger pool.

Here's what you need to know: Everything you expect in the location, food, atmosphere, etc. is exactly how it is - phenomenal (almost beyond words).
The only reason this is a 4 star rating is because of the Sandals call center; I won't bore you with the details but in short, Sandals had to relocate us 5 days before our trip (originally to Nassau) and provided terrible customer service over the phone. It took me 5 hours + Capital One + 3 weeks of waiting in order to get my promised refunded portion. At the location, service was completely different - polar opposite and great

Beautiful resort, food is fine but sometimes difficult to get reservations in the nicer places. Our butlers were amazing (Quentin/Limon/Greg), when we couldn't get reservations or just wanted to stay in they set up dinner in our suite from the restaurant of our choice. We stayed in December 2016 the week they reopened after the storms, even with all of that the grounds were nice and it was still a work in progress. They were building a new restaurant at the time of our stay. The only con is that there is nothing to do or anywhere to go off site, it is a very secluded area. We did do the pig excursion, that was a highlight of the trip. Golf was fun, very challenging course with stunning ocean scenery. You will never be thirsty, the bartenders are fun and make sure that you are never without!

My husband and I just got back from our honeymoon at the Sandals Emerald Bay. We had an overall positive experience. You can't beat the location. Can't really leave the resort cause the surrounding area is shady but the resort itself is gorgeous. Beautifully maintained beaches and pools. Clean rooms; bed is pretty comfortable. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The only bad thing is the food is sub par and that statement is being generous. They have a lot of options. All of which my husband and I tried. The only decent restaurant is the Italian. But they definitely need new chef staff. However, you don't really go to a resort like that for the food. There are no kids around and the romantic setting makes it perfect for a honeymoon.

The Emerald Bay resort is a very relaxing place. We opted for a butler suite and the staff has been great to us. They actively ask us to call them for any request, from getting breakfast for us on our porch to swapping out furniture in our suite. The food is pretty good and there's a large variety of restaurants to choose from. As soon as you get through customs the staff takes your baggage at the airport and gets you into a Town car or an SUV and you're at the lobby in about 15 minutes. They get your bags into your room and give you a quick tour. Our room was still being set up so we were taken to a restaurant for lunch. All in all it's a great place. My biggest issue is that personally, it's hard for me to relax.

Best time! Beautiful resort and gorgeous beach! Water is crystal clear!! Been to quite a few Sandals resorts and this is one of our favorites. I saw some people say that they contracted bed bug bites at this resort. I don't think that was the case. I think they were sand flea bites. Talked to a resort staff person and they said they have had issues with sand fleas. Bites are very similar to bed bug bites. Use bug spray if walking the beach at night or early morning. Don't let that scare you off! This is a beautiful resort. Only issue we have had is this place is very heavy with butler service. If you don't book a butler room, it can be difficult getting chairs by the main pool unless you get up early to reserve.

Absolutely an amazing experience! This was my first time out of the states and I couldn't have had a more delightful experience. Being able to plan our excursions through the concierge, to having the ability to pick out all of the wonderful restaurants we are at was just perfect. The swim up bar, pool, ocean, and the scuba diving was so much fun. One of the most memorable moments was swimming with the pigs in the Bahamas and touring the islands around Emerald Bay. The staff was very delightful. I can't wait to book another trip with Sandals!

Beautiful resort but the staff are not the most friendly. My wife and I have been to 3 Sandals/Beaches resorts and this was our least favorite because of the staff and lack of water activities, which I'll explain. We went here because I love to scuba dive and it's supposed to be pretty good here but because of wind, the surf was around 5 foot high. Instead of taking us on dive boats to the other side of the island, a cove or somewhere else protected, they cancelled not only diving all week but all water activities. I'm not a golfer and so without water activities, there was nothing to do but sit at the pool all week. I was not happy and Sandals did nothing to compensate us other than give us a voucher for a tour for half a day. We did the "swim with the pigs" (@exumawatersports) and it was great, but a 1/2 tour to compensate for zero water activities for a week is outrageous. I contacted management and they did nothing and offered nothing. Again, like I said, the staff were not very friendly and you had to tip the bartenders if you wanted to get a drink without waiting forever. (Tipping is not allowed, by the way). We spent over $5,000 for our stay there, plus nearly $2,000 in airfare so I was very disappointed. I would not go back to this resort and will carefully consider ever going to another Sandals/Beaches resort again.

Excellent service! We were escorted to the resort by Taxi 20 (Zelma), she is an absolute doll! All servers were polite and very attentive. "Storm" at the pool bar was especially fun! The beach villa is remarkable (9106 to be exact). No disturbances, very clean and spacious. The Jerk Shack, to die for; everyone should try their snapper. Overall, we had an amazing time and plan to have our wedding there later this year. Can't wait!!!
