Quick free tour (+ a free mini-shot) from a super friendly and funny guide for a pretty new distillery. They also have rum tastings ($10-$15 for a flight) – the single barrel and buena vista rums are not bad sippers. Just know that their rum is distilled elsewhere in the Caribbean and only blended & aged here.

Take the John Watlings Distillery Tour. It's so interesting. The property is filled with rich history, you learn so much about John Watling and how the Rum is made. Did you know they bottle it by hand? Amazing. After your Tour you get to enjoy and delicious cocktail.
They also make Red Turtle Vodka, made with Sugar Cane. I enjoyed the Pink Sands cocktail that had Red Turtle, coconut water, Guava Syrup and a touch of grenadineso refreshing!

The tour was very educational and exciting. The guide shared with our group the history of the distillery and how each day is planed and how the flow of the operation is run. The campus is beautiful, at the end if the tour you can sample the products that are made and in the the store buy bottles to bring back to enjoy later. The short walk from the cruise ship is about 40 minutes through the markets and town seeing the beauty of the town was very nice. It is a trip that you dont have to buy (excursion).

My family and I had a blast here. They give a free tour of the house and distillery, we had the most amazing,captivating, and amusing tour guide. He is the reason we had a blast here. So good. They give free samples too which but neither my wife or I drink. The roosters outside were cool too

Nice, historic building. Was easy to find and close to downtown Nassau. Tour was quick but interesting. Overpriced cocktails and bottles for being a distillery. Beware of the chickens, they are pretty but have a bad temper lol.

Great free walking tour, which ends in free samples. Worth your time. The bar at the end also makes many other drinks and you can purchase bottles to take home.

Save your time and skip this one. John Watling's was the biggest disappointment in Nassau.

Our tour guide was cool, but the tour lasted only five minutes. There's not much to see here except some barrels and a couple of chickens.

The most disappointing aspect is that the rum is overpriced and undrinkable. Even their "finer" Buena Vista aged rum has an unpleasant nose of rubbing alcohol, a harsh undeveloped pallet, and finished like gasoline. It's a shame to see the Bahamas not making an effort to make a better rum. I found only a very nicely designed bottle with nothing inside worth drinking, nothing more than what should be cheap rum for frozen drink mixers.

We also found the bartender to lack any sense of personality. If you skipped this site on your trip, you wouldn't miss anything.

Found this thanks to a staff member on our cruise. We did the tour, run and vodka tastings and the best Pina Collada I’ve ever had! No need for a cab, just take a 15 minute walk. Ken, our bartender, was fantastic. Nathan gave a great tour.

We had an great time at the distillery. We opted for the short tour which was entertaining. The rum is well priced and the mixed drinks are great. The Pina Colada was fantastic! Lots of seating inside and out. Really a good atmosphere and a nice getaway from busy Nassau.

Yes, do not miss this stop when visiting Nassau!! This was one of my favorite places on island and I plan to go back. Possibly the best rum in the world, and a really cool tour.

This is a really nice distillery. Everyone is super friendly and learning the history of neighboring islands and rum was really cool. Uncle Will who works at the bar had been there since the beginning and he has a lot of knowledge about the various rums. He's also a really great guy. I highly recommend shopping by as the tour is free, and definitely try all the rums. If you like vodka, they have vodka as well and its a very different, but delicious, taste as it is made with cane sugar!

Piña Colada's were the best I've ever had! The tour was very detailed and keep your attention the whole time. The grounds of the property were gorgeous! And the staff were very polite and friendly! They kindly will call you a cab once you are done, so you don't have to walk back down the terrible hill!

Best Piña Colada I've ever had. Definitely worth it for a quick tour and a drink. All of the staff was very friendly and it is one of the few places they do not pressure you to buy anything.

Quick and dirty tour of the history of the location which is pretty interesting. The drinks are good after the tour. You get an opportunity to taste all the rums in the bar.

Although the tour lasted 10 - 15min it was very interesting and entertaining. You get the see the workers in action and learn about the process and the different rums. Definitely a must do! And a must taste!

The staff was very friendly and the tour was short & sweet - exactly the way I prefer them! I'm normally not a pina colada fan, but theirs are amazing!
We stopped in Nassau on a cruise, and walked here from the port. We did see several people take taxis. Either way - worth the trip!

The tour guides can be hilarious and the 30 minute tour might be worth your time even if you are not into rum. Tours are conducted randomly when the guides feel that a critical mass of tourists have arrived at the distillery (they'd probably do a tour for just two people if no one else seems to be arriving).

The pina colada samples they serve at the opening of each tour were very good and the distillery grounds are expansive and beautiful.

A great short tour of the distillery, it is all about 5-6 minutes but it is good and it starts with a small Piña colada, and at the end of the tour you pass through the gift shop whee you can get a bottle of you favourite rum. The bar has an offer of $6.50 for trying the three rums which is good value and the veranda is a good place to do so.
