You get what you pay for. Not at all what I expected from the pictures online when I booked it. But it serves its purpose for a bed and shower. They have no hot water & upon checking in there was a lady screaming and shouting at the hotel staff. Nothing to do with the service but it was crazy. They eventually calmed her down and she left. Across the street from the beach and tiki hut which is nice. Food near by and a liquor store across the street. Prime location.
For the price I guess it was ok . Hotel was right at the beach but no hot water, which is a must! Waken up from my sleep a few times cause of a loud talking man with an annoying voice.
Under renovations and the moment, but enjoying the bohemian style of the hotel!
This is a great location for cheap and the room is not bad for the price. I had no problems with my stay. The front desk day and night where all very friendly. The room was comfortable to stay in and the bed was good aswell. The room had a normal size tv. Lots of cloth space options like dresser bed side dresser and a walkin closet. There was even a place to sit for two people with a table. The room had a shared balkony with plenty of space for all rooms to be there at once.
I will recommend this place to anyone who asks for a cheap (compaired to other Hotels) place to stay.
Also the beach is less then one min of walking acroos the street.
A real traditional place. spent a few nights there the beach right across the road . Nice
I stayed at El Greco for the 2018 New Year's Eve Countdown something different from being at home in USA freezing with cold weather! I enjoyed my stay. The beach was in great distance. The staff were very helpful. I planned to return soon! Thanks for the warm welcome!
For atmosphere and food is on pointtry the Miami Heat, you would not be disappointed.
.
Clean and well put together. Questionable hospitality. Interesting arrangement (porch attached to you room also connects to other rooms. Good way to meet new people, slight safety concern)
It's ok the pool is not swimmable, staff is very helpful, room is not bad at all
wish they would upgrade the key system for the rooms but a very cozy clean hotel.
Hotels on Nassau are expensive and aren't typically luxurious unless you go to the much higher priced resorts. El Greco was a little more expensive but better than the other hotels in the area. It's closer to downtown, reasonably clean, had Wi-Fi, and a pretty courtyard and pool area. If your going to spend $75 a night on a dubious hotel further away, you night as well spend $100 and have a better experience here.
I've stayed in so many hotels and of all this was my worst experience. the pool was dirty, the area was noisy, the equipment in the room didn't work, the WIFI connection was very poor and things were promised but not delivered. THERE WAS NO HOT WATER, NO REMOTE FOR THE A/C AND TELEVISION AND THE ROOM SMELL BAD. This place is nothing like it seems. My sisters and I had a bad stay!!
Everyone one was sold out for miles and these people gave a suite that needed work but they went in and cleaned the suite, changed all the linens, told us the AC and TV were broken but they took care of us! If not we would have been sleeping on a bench !! These people were like family !!!! Thanks Shawn and staff
Good location, you get the standard you are paying for. We are pleased with the hotel!
Good location near the beach downtown. Correct to sleep, but no hot water for the shower and no breakfast. Wifi connection unstable and very low bandwith when connected. Pool was too dirty to be used. Not suitable for high standard tourists.
Across the street from the beach! Check-in was quick, and room was clean. This is not a resort! No fridge, microwave, iron, or coffee machine. 2 beds, shower, and a toilet. We came to be at the beach and out in town. No need for the amenities. Friendly staff, taxi always available, everything within walking distance. Highly recommended. We loved it, and it served it's purpose.
Had no hot water when I stayed. The room was clean enough though, was spacious and modern enough for such a small hotel. It's right on Bay St near the beach, Arawak Cay and Downtown which means it's a great place to stay location wise. It's very inexpensive as well compared to many of the other hotels in Nassau. If they can get their hot water working consistently this would be a great hotel to stay at.
