We had a great experience with Don's! I had an issue with the car fob battery dying and I called and I swear these guys showed up in less than 10 minutes and gave us a different car. If that were to happen to us in the U.S. we probably would've been SOL for at least few hours.

Steer clear of Don’s Car Rental. We tried out 2 car rental places in Exuma and were scammed by both! Don’s rented us an OLD vehicle with a TON of miles on it. In the US it would be worth $500 to $1000. It was in poor condition and dirty but still cost over $500 to rent for a week. We had it for 3 hours and most of that time we were at the beach. We happened to notice one of the tires as being low. We quickly brought it back before the store closed. The gal working didn’t know what to do about it. She asked another worker. The other gal looked at the tire and said we put an egg in it, in other words it was bulging. We also notice the rim had dents in it and wasn’t round. The dents had rust on them. She tried to get us to pay for a tire. We were no way liable for a preexisting problem. We refused and demanded a refund for the rental. After some debate we were refunded a partial amount, still charged $85.00 for 3 hours use. Save yourself the hassle and vacation in a safe place that is trustworthy and that offers customer service.

The service of the Exuma Rent a Car was amazing. We had a problem with a wheel and in less than 15 minutes a worker came and changed it. The day we have to return the car they allow us to keep it an extra night without charge and picked up the car in our hotel. The best renting service ever provided by a rental car.

We were less than an hour late on returning the vehicle at Don's car rental & the rude manager charged us for a full days worth! We payed $900 cash for a week worth and that wasn't good enough for the manager to cut us a break! I asked her to prorate us for the hour and she wasn't hearing it. Obviously Don does enforce customer service first! PLEASE PEOPLE, DON'T RENT THERE, any problem or delay is going to cost you. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANYONE!

Don's Rent-A-Car was okay they gave us something we weren't expecting in the beginning we brought it back and got an older Mitsubishi SUV right hand drive vehicle it was gutless not bad on gas really run down at least all the lights worked and I had to put air in the left front tire so I don't think they are the best to rent from but it worked for us

From Emerald Bay we tried to rent a car through Berlies. They quoted $65/day + $20 fee for drop off and pick up to Emerald Bay. An hour later they phoned to advise they had no cars at that price and the cost would be $85 + $20. I asked for a complimentary upgrade and the operator said she would have to check with management and call me back..
An employee of Don’s Rental Cars overheard my conversation and said she could arrange a car for $65/day.
The vehicle was a bit old and gutless, but we had a great day.response / report this review -
