For being extremely overpriced, they could at least offer their patrons a shower and have functioning wifi. Their only saving grace are the Bahamian staffers who were very nice. But they are only living there to work at the Marina. Otherwise there is no local culture. If you like being surrounded by ostentatiously wealthy sport fishermen and have excessive money to burn, it does the job. The only reason we stayed here was out of necessity due to bad weather. They're obviously capitalizing on being the only Marina nearby. We left ASAP.

From my understanding management and ownership has recently changed over the past year. I have been visiting chub cay with my family and friends for the past 20 years. I have never had such a terrible experience as the one I recently encountered. The new manager which goes by the name of John Dial is the most rude and arrogant individual I have ever delt with in the Bahamas. For someone who is head in charge of hospitality, his actions and choice of words were far from welcoming. He even mocked us in some broken up Spanish for being Hispanic and from miami. He said for me to send a message to other miami people that we are not welcomed on the island. At the end of this all I was not allowed to dock up at the marina and sleep their. John Dial said "I don't give a damn where you sleep but your not sleeping here". Given no other choice I was forced to find shelter behind the island and throw anchor to spend the night. I truly hope someone above this man realizes that there are better qualified individuals for the position. I would hate to see chub cay get a bad reputation just because of one horrible Manager.
