A great place to visit
It's because of the beauty of it an
I like to admire the sea and sky.
A beautiful place to vacation
To much political favoritism when it come to business
Andros Island is an adventurer's paradise! The range of eco-friendly activities is innumerable.
To name a few:
- Diving the third largest barrier reef that is teaming with immense biodiversity.
- Swimming in the 200+ oceanic/inland blue holes.
- Kayaking through the island's intricate mangrove systems.
- Exploring the many uninhabited cays surrounding the coastline.
- Birding for some of the resident & migrant species.
- Trekking throughout the lush coppices.
- Or simply relaxing on the beach!
Despite being the largest of The Bahamian islands, it is the least densely populated. However, for the locals that I have met each one has been humbling, helpful, hilarious and/or an island historian.
Additionally, there is relatively little tourist activity. Meaning you won't be bothered by over-crowded beaches or lack of availabilities. Even if so, there is always somebody willing to accommodate for you.
If you're seeking an authentic Bahamian island getaway adventure, then look no further- Andros Island is it!
Love it best place in the world

Real Down Home island living
My family and I love it
Beautiful island, the people are very friendly.
Nice quiet settlement in Andros - Davis Creek
My father and his family have gone to this island for many years and when I was only a few months old I was taken to this beautiful island and we have returned almost every year since, and I am currently 15 years old. This is truly my home away from home. I have cousins who live across the US and every year we join for a fun time in Andros. Like most teenagers, I like using my phone, but when im here it is the last thing that I think of. We have made so many memories that I will never forget. It is so secluded that it feels like you have an island to yourself. I wake up, go to the beach, explore, paint on the beach, swim, bike around the island, snorkel over the blue holes and come home to sleep. Although it is quiet and calm I have never found myself being bored. There was recently a storm and we did not know if our house survived it, I honestly cried every night thinking that I would never be able to return to my favorite place on earth, but it was ok and everybody is recovering from the damage. I would definitely recommend Andros to everybody. If you are considering to come, just go, because trust me you will NOT regret it! The day that I get back from this island all I do is talk about how much I want to go back and hopefully one day I can have the chance to take my own kids to Andros.
