We left this hostel after one night: dirty bed sheets, cockroach in the common area, timber worms in bed. Breakfast was good though. Bathrooms always smelled mouldy and everything appears to be quite old.

Fun atmosphere - multinational and friendly.
The kitchen is well equipped. The reception / common area is perfect for socializing and meeting new people.I highly recommend staying at this hostel if you're traveling to Rio!response / report this review -

The staff was fantastic. They told us all the things to do inRio and how to get around on foot and bus. Lots of really good information to make our stay easier. One of the staff was really concerned when I needed a taxi to get to the airport and she kept on phoning until she got a taxi to come to get me to the airport. Thank you!!! Caipirinhas were great! I would stay at this hostel again. Great location.

One of the top hostels I've stayed in in the world. Great value. Amazing staff. Clean and well maintained. Did I mention awesome staff? The location is 1 minute from the subway. Definitely my goto hostel in Rio.
