First of all, I'm very disappointed regarding the welcome of the hotel. Then, we have been asked to move out of the hotel earlier as initially settled due to problems in the booking system.

Hostel was a money sucking accommodation. Booked two Nights with them and unfortunately bus was cancelled. Messaged them that I will be a day late and THEY CANCELLED MY BOOKING. charged me both nights and refused to let me stay the second night even when they charged me for it. How ridiculous. Let me and friend homeless when we reached La Paz.

Beware of this hotel!

Nice breakfast though consistently served with hair inside. Nice interior though with a strong smell of dissolvent - which in a room wirhout a window is hardly bearable. So much for the goos things

Hot water often not working, sometimes not even cold water. They told us all sorts of inconsistent stories of why and that it would be ok shortly after. It wasn't. And it was the same for other guests. We complained repeatedly but at checkout we were blaimed not to have said anything - they came to our room several times so they surely knew.

We had asked to change the room because of the ugly smell and where given a smaller one with a window thoug. Later they charged us more for the smaller room. No excuse about the water, the smell or anything. They tried to charge us the 13 % VAT which you don't have to pay as a short-time tourist. After complaining they dropped it - but only for the first night, only after complaining again they dropped it for the second night.

They try to charge you extra for everything, e.g. the use of the safe deposit box in the room, every hour of late check-out, leaving your luggage after check-out.

It is a pity because given the place and interior it could be a nice place but the service is so poor and dishonest that it really is not recommandable to stay here.

Arrived to check in at 11am on a Friday and no one was at the door. I knocked for 20 minutes to no avail before making a reservation at another hostel.

A hidden gem that keeps a low profile but is well worth hunting for. I hope they can keep their quality up really reasonable prices for big portions of very very tasty food. Don't miss it.

Beware if you have children: they accepted my reservation with 1 kid 4 yrs old, then cancelled it on the day of arrival without any explanation. They were very unpleasant afterwards, and offered no help.

One of my favourite hotels in the city. Family run botique place I always send my friends to. The restaurant downstairs is one of the best in the city and likely one of the best values around.

Great place to stay for the price. Room is big with hot watet and a heater. They even a guge dvd library to watch movies on the dvd player in the room. They also offer a fantastic breakfast and tours.

Nice and quiet, away from the downtown but walkable distance to get groceries and phone card. Safe location. Breakfast is amazing. Many fruits. Good quality. Room, bed and bathroom are clean. Towels so so. The "English" person in the morning not too helpful, more like want to sale u the tours or so, expensive. Better do homework. Dine in house is ok, expensive but if u can't border to eat out, they hv good food. Probably that's how they leverage out so cheap for backpacker. Have common area and kitchen to be used. Well equipped. U should cook.

Super end to a brilliant trip to South America. La Paz is worth a visit and Rendezvous is by far the best place to stay when in the city. Very reasonably priced for the above average quality. Book directly via their website for best prices!

One of the best stops I have made in South America. Located in the slightly wealthier end of town, there is lots of good restaurants and nightlife a stones throw from the hotel. The rooms are spotless and well decorated. No bland magnolia here. Hot showers in clean bathrooms, great. The staff are so helpful with maps and directions, they can also organise tours of local attractions and arrange taxis for airports. Top service! I have stayed here twice and would stay again if returning to La Paz.
