Staff is unfriendly. The room we had smelled terrible (heavy mold) and the staff refused to let us change rooms. We ended up switching hostels. Don’t waste your time or money with this place.

Do yourself a favour and avoid this place. We stayed at a different hostel for one night before moving to this one because of the cheap rates, and we really lived to regret it. Yes, the location is great and rooms are cheap. BUT consider this:
- there's no heating despite freezing temperatures at night, which means I ended up with a massive cold
- you're not allowed to take blankets from any spare beds, allegedly because they are fully booked. When we stayed there, they had at least 50% capacity
- staff is rude, dismissive and dishonest
- there's no kitchenware or pots in the kitchen, you have to borrow everything at a deposit, which is weird. Also you pay for your rooms in advance, which is not normal
- the mine tour they're offering is not run by an ex-miner as advertised and the whole organisation is underwhelming.
Seriously, spend 3 Euros more per night and stay at a lovely hostel just around the corner from this place.

I really enjoyed the stay here. The only issue was the cold. It was 12-3°C during our stay and our room was very cold. Since the heaters were off during summer, the only solution from the hostel was "use more blankets". But otherwise very friendly and helpful personal.

Bathroom could us an update. Close to everything is an usp. Heating should be turned on in relation to temperature not season. It was very cold in the rooms at the beginning of December. We went out to find a warm pub in stead of relaxing in our room.

Great place to stay for a visit in Potosi. Close to the downtown core, decent breakfast and WiFi, and great shower with loaf of hot water. Beautiful interior courtyard and extremely nice staff.

I had a private room with a shared bathroom and it was exactly what I needed. Very close to everything, highly recommend. The breakfast is very light, and the workers weren't the most accommodating, but for what you're paying it's perfect.

I stayed here for a few nights, the dorms were warm but didn't have enough electrical points, wifi is ok but put in warm clothes for breakfast as its cold.

Too expensive for the service.

Guy in front desk wasn't nice, wifi didn't work and he told me it must be my phone (my PC and other phone didn't work neither).

Also, breakfast was basically only bread. Too limited when cheaper places offer much more.

Cozy and nice atmosphere, with tours from a team known to the hostal staff. Breakfast is included, generally with bread, tea, coffee, marmalade, etc.
Would recommend for people who want to stay 1 or 2 days, and doesn't want to worry about going out to have breakfast.

Dirty bed and bathrooms, no hot water, awful wifi (even for Bolivia). The manager was so rude to me after I questioned his "13% VAT." He wouldn't write me out a detailed receipt. Many better places to stay in the nice city of Potosí.

Great hostel! Breakfast is above average, great covered courtyard, average wifi. We paid 100 bob for a private double.

Only paid 40 Bs for the dorm which is a tiny space. When the whole form was occupied you could barely see the floor because of the bags. Wifi is good but you have to be in certain areas to use it. It's cold in Potosi but the beds have tons of blankets and I only had to use half of them to stay warm at night.

We had a private room which was huge. Shower was hot, breakfast was good. ..just needed some cereal to top it off. Staff friendly, nice big court yard to hang out in.

The good: beautiful building, decent breakfast, solid location, hot (albeit, moldy) showers, lockers available.
The bad: one electrical plug for a 10 person dorm. That's right. 10 people have to fight over the single outlet to plug a single electrical device into. TERRIBLE situation and truly unacceptable. Wifi: slow. No soap in bathroom sinks (gross, come on!). Have to pay to use TV room, have to leave a deposit to use kitchen ware.
