Was really impressed by the sushi here and it was my favourite meal in Brunei. A lovely setting and great service and food.

I don't see a reason why this restaurant would deserve anything less than 5 stars. This is probably one of the best restaurants you can find in Brunei. Reasonably priced food is tasty and of high quality, although it may take some time to arrive during peak hours. The customer service is excellent. Recommended to come here as a backup if you decide to ditch typical Bruneian food but remember to place a reservation as it is usually packed.

P.S there is a good view of the Kampung Ayer too if you manage to get the window seats.

Food is great. And everyone knows Kaizen is the place to get your sushi fix, especially with the extensive menu. No doubt about that. So there is no need to comment on the food.

The service, however, was horrible. Disgusting. It was slow. Unorganized. And the service does not come with a smile, rather some eye rolls. They place the food on your table very rudely. The price of renting the VIP room does not reflect the service when I waited 15 mins for someone to serve me. Not to mention I asked for a pen, and the waiter never came back. How hard can it be? I ended up stepping out of the VIP room to look for someone to take our order. And yes I pressed the call button countless times!!

Worst of it all, this was during Ramadhan, sungkai hours. Ok I understand the food won’t come before or during sungkai hours and may come afterwards. But we were only given dates, no water. Even after our food came (15-20 mins after sungkai) we weren’t served our drinks first.

To the management, please address this problem! Your staff are unprofessional.

Large menu and extensive selection of sushi roll but also other food selection such as noodles, yakitori, donburi and Appetizers are available. Very good quality of seafood. Prizing is acceptable although for locals apparently on the prizy side. Service friendly but a bit slow and unorganised. Restaurant was always full when we arrived

Arguably the Japanese Restaurant with a big selection of foods. And it has a nice view of the river mouth where the Water Village is located.

Book in advance or you might have to sit at the Tepenyaki Station.

The most expensive place to have Japanese food in Brunei. It is quite acceptable though because of the quality of the ingredients and dishes. Service can be a bit slow at times when it's packed, and most of the time it is. If you want privacy and would like a private room, there's an additional $15 surcharge for it.

    High-Tier Restaurant ($$$)

I love getting the Uni (Sea Urchin) and Toro (Fatty Tuna) along with Zaru Soba (Buckwheat Noodles with ice).

Always very nice to eat here, though I can never get enough, because this place thins my wallet so much. T.T

Good menus, good food. Some problems with the service but, unfortunately, that's normal in Brunei. The problems were recognised and corrected, even if not quite the way I wanted.
