The food was great, but the local dishes choice are limited. Friendly staff and plenty of parking available the place also sell ground spices and local herbs. Well worth the visit.

Very happy I found this place. Great food and atmosphere. Friendly staff. Bit expensive but you get what you pay for. Everything is very fresh tasting. Lot of care goes into the food.

nice romantic place, the food is really good. the ground floor is smoky because of the Shisha, but the smell doesn't go upstairs.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and a welcoming staff with high quality service. The food taste is fresh and dish portion is enough for one and a half or two persons. The menu has good varieties. The only down point is the prices, it is little high than most restaurants but its worth it for special ceremonies or for a change.

Lovely atmosphere and really good food! Been here a couple of times and haven't been disappointed. The food is a little on the pricey end, but probably one of the only places that does 'fancier' traditional food. This visit we tried the quinoa salad and the chicken tahchin which were both tasty, but our favourite dish was definitely the tangy nutty chicken! So much flavour and texture. We also tried the saffron ice cream, which was presented nicely, and went down a treat with everybody. Definitely recommend!

Awesome restaurant, very delicious food. I loved the lamb chunk and the beef burger also was excellent. The only thing it's some kind of expensive.

If you a group you need to call first or you'll wait a long time.

Excellent restaurant decoration but the quality of food is below average check the photo that show how excessive amount of pomegranate molasses with rice and chicken. Magloba is below average too. Eggplant explosive is the only dish you can taste good compilation

Villa Mamas, simply is one of the rare places that never let you down with their food, it's always a tasty and satisfying experience eating here.

But probably the only downside here is the pricy menu items and that's what others have also mentioned, but to be fair you are served with a quality fresh food, so I would say it's more like you pay for what you get.

The inside environment is very cozy and classic, the new extension adds more of luxurious feeling to the place but personally I like the old portion of the restaurant and that's just me, even though the new extension is very elegant.

Staff are friendly and almost available whenever needed, some meals here don't seem they belong to this restaurant and better to be avoided, overall it's a good choice to treat yourself with a great food.

Not sure why I need to rate this place with so many reviews already.
Seriously overpriced but had to go there once to see what all the fuss is about.
Clean, quick and friendly service. Just don't sit anywhere near the kitchen entrance if you don't like hearing the stressed cooks yelling at the top of their lungs (or being yelled at, not sure). Also, if you're above 5'10" tall (176cm) watch your head when you approach the toilet entrance.

Amazing food without the pretense. It was modern Arab cuisine. I was so proud to see that someone could take the amazing food that my mother makes and interpret it in a modern way. The hammour was fantastic. Compliments all around.

Love the interior atmosphere and the food is phenomenal! Especially love that the owner chef Roaya comes by all the tables and has a quick chat whenever she's in the restaurant. The food is worth it and the portions are very generous. Prices are more on the expensive side but compared to other 5 star restaurants the portion sizes here are much bigger. You should reserve before hand or you'd need to wait for a while as it's almost always packed.

The restaurant is best known for their gulf region traditional dishes, but with a modern twist. The prices are a little hefty. And the place is always crowded. Management tried to stuff the place with as much tables and chairs as physically possible. However, still the restaurant is one of the few places that offer the authentic Bahraini and gulf region delicious dishes.
