I love this museum. As a family with toddlers, it is a nice place to visit for about an hour. Several displays that keep the kids entertained while learning. I highly recommend returning without the kids and reading about the Delmun and Bahrain's history. It is soooo fascinating. Every tourist should spend at least one hour here to learn about the rich history of Bahrain. You can also take a boat trip to the Fort across the Bay, only accessible through the museum. The boat ride is kid friendly and you get a beautiful view of Manama. I take all our visitor guests here and everyone loves it.
This is nice Museum giving insights on ancient Bahrain tradition, culture and history. Entry fee is only BHD 1 and you can easily spend at least 2 - 3 hours. Worth visiting, especially if you have to take around your guest who are visiting Bahrain first time. Best time to go is during late afternoon so that you can enjoy the evening outside the museum with nice sea view. Very pleasant feeling and you can have nice photos for your memories. Ask Staff to guide you on how to go to sea side from within Museum. They do have Coffee Shop / Restaurant within the Museum. Some galleries may be closed due to renovations work. They do some sitting place if you feel tired from walking :)

It is a good place to visit if you want to have a glimpse of the old Bahrain. It will make you go back to the basic. You will see how awesome Bahrain is from its roots, how simple life is and how great the country is. The serenity and peace in the muse will give you a taste of Bahrain's beautiful and laid back history.
A must see for anyone visiting Bahrain. The entry is 1 BD and the entry ticket is a post card that you can keep as a souvenir. (Pretty well thought out!)It is a good place to spend about an hour and half. (Lots of historical artifacts and even a pearling exhibit is presented to the visitors!)The coffee shop is great for inviting your visitors in for a decent cup of tea or coffee.

Nice place all from the start, with a great view of the sea and the complete map of Bahrain on floor the place really catches your interest. The museum doesn't have much on display comparing to some other places I've visited but it does keep you interested. This is a place for you if you looking to explore Bahrain's culture and history. If you went for the Islamic history this will disappoint you. All together a must weekend visit for people who cherish art and culture.
An awesome place to visit with friends and family. An outlook on the tradition and customs of ancient Bahrain. Divulge into the Islamic culture and learn about the many different other cultures that came to this amazing place. From the early life to manuscripts, documents and early tools, There's a lot to learn from history 😊.
I thoroughly enjoyed the museum and exhibits. Good luck getting an Uber back though. Make sure you have your ride back set up ahead of time.
Alot of history about the country and the culture. The burial mounds were under construction but the museum is very nice. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable.
There is a beautiful boat ride to Bu Maher fort. The ticket is only BD 1 per person. Try at sunset.. so relaxing ♡ I noticed that the museum staff do not tell all tourists about it. I wonder why
Its nice. Was a mix up at the reception. The staff should coordinate with each other we bought a ticket for the boat ride..which never happened. Burial mounds were closed. Its an interesting little museum
Bette than expected. It’s big. But two halls are under renovation now
Very good museum about the history and culture of Bahrain. You can learn a lot about the country's past and culture from the exhibits. Good layout.
The largest museum in Bahrain. It showcases the history of Bahrain. A very informative place. One of the must visit place in bahrain.
Great collection of prehistoric artifacts and a good introduction to the significance of Bahrain to the region. It also has an introduction to some of the cultural practices of the region. This is well worth a visit.
It’s a great place to learn about Bahrain! Kids would really enjoy the museum because of the special effects and sounds. Our visit was great!
It is a well organised museum with a very lovely cafe and a gift shop. It is good place to look through the culture of Bahrain and understand its history. As well as, it is located front of the sea which gives it a very good option for weekends visit to family.
One of the best available site for families..
Be careful while visiting on eid vacations usually it is off during public holidays and this status is not accurately updated on google maps. Where there normal operating hours are mentioned. The best solution is to first call at there contact number to avoid any surpirise when you reach there!
It's as nice cool place but not much to see. The ground floor is almost empty. The other top floor have more artifacts to display but nothing u can't see all in 45 minutes. Anyway it's a must see if its ur first visit to Bahrain
A good history lesson on Bahrain and it's lifestyle. Information are well presented in English and Arabic. There are few sections such as trade and lifestyle which Kids can also enjoy and learn.
Spacious meuseum, buy not many notable exhibits. Needs more exciting exhibits to appeal to public.
I was quite impressed with the museum. It is well looked after, the artifacts are gorgeous and it tells me about Bahrain in a time I didn't even know that it played such a role
I like it's waterfront coffee shop. Otherwise I don't see anything else interesting in the museum
Very well designed, really liked the interactive floor map. Great cafe. Great walk around right next to the sea.
It is good place to learn more about tradition and history of Bahrain. It is not very busy museum so you can feel more relaxed. Ambiance of museum cafe is splendid
