Peaceful, spiritual and eye - opening. You should be modestly dressed to be allowed in. Then they will give women abayas to wear. Men wearing shorts will be given thaubs. Tours are free for all. Open from 9 to 4. Closed on Friday.

Wow. Beautiful Architecture. History embedded in the walls. Of course the biggest mosque in Bahrain. Peaceful and soulful ambience. Very nice tour guide who took us around. Ppl of all faith are welcome to go around. Appropriate clothing is a must and is available in the Mosque. Has a library as well. Can accommodate thousands of ppl for worshipping. Ample parking space. Located in Juffair.

The biggest mosque in bahrain. One of the must visit place in bahrain. The interior is beautiful. The place shows the culture and artistic excellence of Bahrain. The area is well maintained. The person who explained the details about the mosque and Islam have wast knowledge in it. He was very helpful and answer all our queries. Kids will enjoy the place and will be informative for them.

Beautiful mosque with a very grand look. The main hall has a lot of seating capacity with nice acoustics. The mimbar looked grand and beautiful. There was a coffee vending machine near the shoe rack that dispensed really good coffee at a great price!

Beautiful and biggest mosque in Kingdom of Bahrain, Must visit. It is open for visit on all days except Fridays. You can have a guided tour of mosque, library and surroundings. Beautiful architecture in and out. Guided tour is free of charge.

The grand Al Fateh Mosque is both Bahrain’s largest place of worship and among one of the largest mosques in the world.
It was built under the patronage of the late Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa in 1987 and was named after Ahmed Al Fateh. The mosque accommodates up to 7000 worshippers and is crowned with the largest fiberglass dome in the world. The walls of the mosque are beautifully ornamented with Kufic calligraphy.

It's really nice to know the core belief of our Muslim brothers and sisters. My first time to enter a mosque (I'm a Christian). They will lend you an Abaya (a cloak wore by women) or a Thawb (an Arab garment for male) as the place is sacred for the Islam religion and you should not expose to much of your skin on places like these as a respect. We learned a lot on our visit here. It was like an educational tour for me and my friends. Not to mention the great architecture that the place showcases.

Beautiful building.
Women will be given an abaya to adorn before entering the mosque.
We also had a guide who helped us really under Islam. She was also kind enough to answer our questions.

This visit really helped me understand Islam and its culture much better than I did before.

I am not religious but visited for the building, I had a very good tour guide for our small party of six, the guide explained everything well and I asked multiple questions which were all answered. For those intrigued it is worth a visit. If you really want to understand or know more there's free books, real printed books and brochure type all absolutely free.
