Probably the oldest church in the Rhodopes built in the 1830s by special decree of the sultan. A remarkable collection of icons was discovered under its roof recently and they are now on display in the church in a neatly arranged exhibition. This is definitely one of the landmarks of the town and a must see for every traveler. A quiet and serene place off the beaten tourist tracks.
