Although the place is clean and nice I was taken by surprise by the impoliteness of the luggage-store-stuff. They tricked me like a cheap seller on the street and took me 3€ instead of 3 Lev. After I recognized they pretended to be incapable to speak English.
Still it was my mistake but this is not the way you expect to be treated at such a nice and modern place.response / report this review -

Very nice station and friendly staff! Single ticket is only 1.6leva, which is around 0.8euro.

Sofia's old central railway station, now renovated and looking much better. Convenient transport to all major city spots.

Recently renovated, and it looks nice. Much better than what it was before - clean place with bright lightning, and warm during winter times. However, the subway nearby is still dirty and messy, and dark in some areas. You may want to hang out inside the building where you can have an amazing cheese sandwich at ridiculously price of one euro - just go at the second floor where is the "Foodstation" with a lovely indoor terrace.
