Ironically EU subway station was built by the communist state a long long time ago being one of the two oldest stations on the network. Completed around 1980 it remains sealed underground until recently when Line 2 of the subway was completed. Legend says that in the 90s a mobster, running for his life manages to access the tunnel through a locked door in the basement of one of the disco clubs that populated the huge underground passage nearby. He crawls his way in the dark for hours until he somehow breaks out through a sealed exit on the other station under the National Palace of Culture.
