The waterfall itself isn't something to look forward to but there are 2 paths via which you can get there. The difficult one is really fun, but is not simple and you should try it with sandals or poor shoes as it can get slippery at times. You should be superman, but you better be in a decent shape. Worth it. Downward we took the second path which is very boring on it own I must say but it has a nice stop point with a great view.

If you're not into hiking, (difficult or just nature long stroll), and you either look for a view or an amazing waterfall, that is not for you! Not far from there there is some Station (tv or radio) where you can get to by car or cab, walk 2 minutes and have an amazing view over the city by kopitoto.

I like that this is so close to Sofia. It's a relatively easy walk for anyone who's used to trail walks/hikes. Though we are currently in the low water season, the waterfall was still pretty nice to witness (the walk itself is fun). Would love to see it frozen in the winter!

You can take the steep or the easy route. Both offer nice views on the city. The waterfall itself is like many others.

Very beautiful, slightly difficult terrain to go through to reach the waterfall, but it's worth it.

I recommend you to first take the hard route next to the river on the way up because downwards this way could be really slippery. Although this way up is quite challenging it's totally worth it (it took us about 1 hour). On the way back I recommend the Panorama way on the Eastern side. You'll definitely make some stops for nice photos.

Great hike! We went the very steep way up and it took us two hours due to the amount of climbing required. It can be difficult to know which path is correct on the harder trail, as it's not as well marked. On the way back we took the easier, very well marked path and it only took an hour to descend. Nice views, great foliage, pretty waterfall.

Amazing walk. There are two routes, one that is more easy and takes more time, and the other that is faster, beautiful and dangerous. We went to difficult route on the way to the waterfall and came back on the easy one.

The waterfall can be reached via two different trails, but I'd recommend the steeper and more scenic one that follows the Boyana river upstream. The waterfall itself is a great sight and very close to the capital.
