On the way to Conakry, our plane hit some birds. So, Turkish Airlines sent us to the Splendid Hotel first. It looked a little dubious. After waiting for an hour, the clerk told us "no more rooms". Ok? My wife needed some water, sorry, no water because you don't have a room. The Airline then sent us to Laico Ouaga 2000. Wow. What a breath of fresh air. We arrived at 3AM to a full staff. Due to Ramadan, breakfast was underway. We ate fresh mangoes, papaya, pineapple, watermelon, and cantaloupe. Then a guy there makes us fresh omelets! They had freshly squeezed pineapple, orange, and ginger juices. We went to our room and it looked good, clean, with a nice balcony. We slept. Supper the next day was incredible! Again, we had all the fresh fruit, fish, chicken, lamb, and so many more options. A local juice, bissap, was served, it was very good. Compliments to the chef or whomever is organizing the food here. We really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is quite beautiful. Enough parking space, rooms quite big with balcony. Not much of a view though. The staff were very helpful with currency exchange. Even though the language barrier is there they really try to understand you. Only used the restaurant for breakfast. It was really good, variety and a bit of the local food which were nice to try out. The security was a bit too tight..airport tight kind of security. I guess it's just a precautionary matter.

The facilities are great and probably one of the more secure hotel in town. But the maintenance is not optimum from my point of view and for the high price you have to pay for a night. Internet is just to slow and unstable.

Nice hotel. Room was clean, breakfast was not very diverse, but it was good. The pool area is big, the water looks and feels clean. Only 4 stars, because I couldn't get the shower to produce hot water in my room on the 6th floor, and the internet is so slow - during the night it seemed to be completely down.

Nice enough Hotel but needs to be refurbished. Lovely pool and friendly staff. Security massively improved since the attack in the Supreme hotel.

I have been here couple of times, those always in Ramadhan time. The good thing in this hotel, they are serving Sahoor for Muslim.

Breakfast has good choices available. Rooms are big in size. Enough dining options inside the hotel.
Staff friendliness could be improved. Rooms are outdated. Water pressure and temperature varied all the time, which is very uncomfortable while taking a shower. Internet is available throughout the hotel, however very slow. TV channels mainly in French (only 1 English - news channel)response / report this review -

While this may be the best hotel in Ouagadougou, it is starting to show its age. My door would not lock until maintenance repaired it and the elevators often felt like they were going to stop working and strand us between floors. Despite the shortfalls the breakfast is top notch and the pool is incredibly refreshing. I would not stay anywhere else.

Very nice hotel rooms and good front desk service. The restaurant is nice and free breakfast is always welcome. The wireless is pretty much worthless though, which is why I ranked this hotel at 4 stars instead of 5.
