A very sobering place and a must to go to on your visit to the WW1 battlefields. The Commonwealth War Grave Commission staff are absolutely first class and go out of their way to assist. A special thank you to Sariah for all her assistance and information.

The largest British and Commonwealth War Cemetery in the world: a real must visit place to understand the sheer scale of loss in the Great War.

I was here on 31/7/2017 for the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Passchendaele. This beautifully kept cemetery is a sad testament to the futility of war. I was in tears after seeing a number of graves bearing the inscription "A soldier of the great war - known unto God". I will return one day.

Visited here with my sister to see the inscription to my grandmothers first husband who was lost in WW1. Amazing place. Well worth coming back.

Beautifully maintained and extremely moving. I don't think words can describe much more of what it feels like it to stand and witness the silent testament to such reckless slaughter as it does standing in the centre of Tyne Cot.

Remember the fallen. Some of the exhibits show these were people with real live cut short very sad.
