It's a nice quaint locale cinema that provides more alternative movies in the centre of Ghent. However, this does have it's drawbacks. The rooms themselves are small and technical issues can and will happen more frequent and stay for a longer period of time. You can expect friendly people and a cheap cinema like (as in, much smaller than what you would expect from a modern cinema) experience.

Really like the place as they have good staff and good choice of local beers like Crabbelaer, lArogante and Beer13. Had good time with the beer tour @belgiumbeerdays.

They show fantastic movies here.
More arty movies.
The location is great but I upgrade inside is necessary. Chairs are not comfortable and everything that goes with that. Never the less I could not stay away because of all the good movies they showed!
You are also slowed to take food and drinks from the bar downstairs into the movies.

The only cinema I go to in Gent. Great location with clean and not so busy theatres.Tip: use your student card to get a discount.

Great bar. Nice beers and you can smoke on the terrace. The cinema is also very nice. Great place for a romantic date.

Part of the Europa cinema network, Sphinx promotes European cinema on top of screening blockbusters, family flicks and prize winning features. A cosy place that's been a part of the city's Cinephile landscape for many decades.

For anyone who doesn't like paying €12 for movies that look like they cost €12.
This cinema offers quality for half the regular prices. Late night screenings are always €6.
Subtitles usually in dutch and french.

A very nice place for movie. They have wide variety of movies in the alternative department as well.
The bar, later in the evening, is a bit less. When it's crowded you can hardly order and I feel ignored.
But the first sunday of the month they do brunch and movie and that's and event you can't miss. Good food, drinks included and a nice movie for a nice sunday.
