This was one of the best dining experiences of my life. The food was incredible, the presentation was beautiful, and the service was great. We started with the shrimp croquettes, which were fantastic. They were very different from any I'd had in the States, but the preparation was very similar to others we had in Belgium. For our mains, I had the vol-au-vent Royale, and my boyfriend had a turbot dish that came with this amazing mushroom cream sauce. We finished both plates (which is rare for us!) because the taste was so incredible. We also had a leek soup with hare, and it was divine. The cocktails were fantastic too! It has been a few weeks since this experience, and we still talk about it.

This restaurant is run by culinary scam artists. For about 60 euros per head expect nothing but simulacra: F-grade cafeteria food in arrangements inspired by some culinary magazine the cook must have perused while waiting in line at the Lidl. The staff is unenthusiastic when it's there at all (completely absent for 15 minutes in a booked room with well-over 15 tables!!) and who can blame them. This food would have depressed me if the price didn't make me so angry. These people have zero desire to provide a respectful dining experience to its costumers, only want to make as much profit as they possibly can with as little effort as possible. They are quite simply the biggest tourist trap in Ghent and easily its worst restaurant.
Shame on you Korenlei Twee.

A wonderful friendly restaurant with waiters who know their job. Wine list is good. The food better! Interior is fine with a fireplace near the door so the ladies won't be cold even if the door opens. Highly recommended but don't be shy with your wallet. It Wilkinson nonetheless be totally worth it. 150 Euro for dinner for two, all-in, including a good bottle of wine to match dinner.
