This Hospital like many others only care about how much money they can collect out of patients and Insurance ..They make you do a dozen of unnecesary tests and want you to stay at the Hospital to do more and more tests..I could google my syntoms and get a quicker and more accurate diagnosis that these doctors Im sure that many patients go to the Hospital with the same symtons so they should know more accurately the problem and should recommend only the necessary test to confirm but intead all they care is about the money they can get
I had to do a buch of test just to be told by the very uncaring doctor "I dont see anything on the test so I cant Help you" My God I was so much in pain not even take an Aspiring or something Silly me did not think of googling my syntoms Thank God I did and finally found a better diacnosys to my problem ..
Shame on you people when the money is more important that the wellbeing of others..response / report this review -

Loved giving birth here! Very friendly staff. Minus 1 star, because there was no airconditioning, not even in the hallways, so it was extremely hot.

BE CAREFUL ! I wouldn't recommend this hospital! Except one or two doctors in Pediatrics, the rest of the department is NOT trustworthy! Head of pediatrics Dr. Kur. she wasn't able to diagnose the cleft palate my daughter had (After two days, struggling to feed her, Nurse found out!), they didn't guide us to the cleft team, no any advice, nothing! (We found all the help/info in Gent by ourselves).
One pediatrican Dr. Pos. who suppose to be specialized in nutrition , couldn't even diagnose Reflux my baby had, despite of my warnings numerous time.
Another one Dr.Cald. who made a check after birth, couldn't find out my daughter had extreme clotting, her color was purple. she said " no problem, She is fine,just the result of fast birth" . Two days after that statment, my baby was taken to Intensive care in another hospital because there is no ICU in the pediatrics!
Another one Dr.Jon. responded me like i am an idiot, when i said that " i understand their points but i want to take my daughter home" his respond was "do you understand!?"
If i was still living there, i was going to sue the hospital staff. Just terrible! i wouldn't recommend to anyone! Except the pediatrican Dr. DeMul. He is the best among to them. Fast diagnose, careful and comprehensive. Because of his careful check my daughter got saved, otherwise she was going to have fatal results. Except him, i wouldn't recommend this department and the hospital's extreme over charge if you give birth there.
Otherwise, take your baby to Sint-Augustinus: Full of good doctors with ICU in case.response / report this review -

Private hospital providing excellent, be it expensive care, since many of their MDs are allowed to charge up to 200% of regular fees in private 1p rooms.
Your stay will be covered by Belgian national heath insurance if you're a EU citizen.
Caution: Their ER department is extremely busy at the weekend and you are advised to see one of the two 24/7 Doctors who are on stand by for non-urgent care
