Electro doctor came by for a repair of a drying cabinet. We were told afterwards that everything was fine. In the next complete cycle, this turned out to be incorrect. The drying cabinet refused any service. We paid the technician € 140 and this is hard money for a service that was not provided.
Since the drying cabinet is worth gold in our large family, we left it alone and bought a new one.
When I contacted the Elektrodokter afterwards to come to a compromise somewhere; a piece of refund of the 140 €, he reacted negatively. We should have given him a chance to come over and rectify the matter. He would do this for free.
When I indicated that this would also cost him money because he could not go to a paying customer at that time, he responded negatively.
So we paid 140€ for a service that was not performed.

(And yes, of course I give the man his living, he made a move and performed working hours with us. I would never claim the full amount back. But I had hoped for a settlement that would feel fair)

After submitting an online request during the weekend for urgent repair of a leaking washing machine in Ghent, I received a telephone call on Wednesday to arrange a date for the following day. (little time to arrange this, but was urgent so we adapt).

The repairman came to my house and was in less than 1h, I paid 147EUR for this. The repair costs (probably) amounted to approximately EUR 200 to EUR 300, not counting working hours on top of the first EUR 147. The EUR 147 could possibly be deducted when purchasing a new machine, but it had to cost more than EUR 600 in purchase price. I am a single mother, I chose repair instead of new machine because of the price, 600 EUR is a lot of money for me, 147 EUR too. I wanted to buy a new washing machine through them, but the 'lower price range' à la BEKO was sold out.

I finally bought a new machine from Coolblue for 270 EUR, and less than 24 hours later my new device was already connected at home and the old one was taken with me. NOT thanks to Dr. Elektro.

My advice: if you are not very wealthy, do not opt for repair at Dokter Elektro, because the initial cost without having effectively repaired is very high and no guarantee that it can be made at all. Moreover, they do not offer affordable service or solutions if a device needs to be replaced at a lower price range.
By the way, this was not the first time: I also paid 147EUR for nothing for a broken dishwasher. a spare part of 10 EUR that repaired the dishwasher, while the repair service did not see it as possible. (I don't have a technical background though)

It's a pity that they don't think along with the customer! Earning EUR 147 in one hour, without any repairs that's unbelievable to me.

Additional to the response to the review of doctor electro:
    - Inspection of the extractor hood can be nuanced: they were asked to look at the type of the filter - there was no defect. Was an informative question to see if this could possibly be improved - your technician took a picture of the filter and then made a proposal, this could have taken a few minutes at most, strange to charge for this?! After all, there could be an offer?!

    - Relocation and inspection costs money: what immense movement do you have to make from Ghent to Ghent that is so expensive? No repairs have been made (so no material has been used), your technician has not been in for an hour: I cannot accept the cost of EUR 147 as proportional with the best will in the world.

    - The request for repair of the dishwasher must have been made in the autumn of 2019 (or early 2020 - this can be found in your system at the address) - you were unable to carry out a repair.

    - In the past I have purchased several devices through doctor electro, including in Erpe-Mere, you can certainly find this by name, but after a relationship break, such expensive devices were unfortunately not an option to buy again - despite this, I still visited doctor electro to fix things.
So there is definitely some customer loyalty that can be appreciated!

You would think that 'scams' such as those of Dokter Elektro no longer exist, but apparently they do.

Paying € 116.00 for an 'Electrician' who was half an hour late, and then takes twenty minutes to tell us that the washing machine could not be repaired, I personally think it is not possible.

First say that the washing machine is actually still in perfect condition, and that the electronic board needs to be replaced, but that this quickly costs € 500, and then say that you better buy a new one from them because the washing machine is old and worn out. ..

Yes, I already know that the € 116.00 is deductible if we buy another machine from you, but no thanks.

If I, as a self-employed person, do not find a solution to a customer's problem, I will not charge for this. € 90.00 relocation costs is just a scam.

    Pocket setters they are!!

Only for placing a resistor in an oven they charge 123 euros!!! That's max 10 min work + I bought a new resistor myself. Unbelievable! I do not advise anyone to fix anything here, these are pocket setters.

Since I can't reply to your message, edit this to your comment:

Completely unjustified!!! Before you offend us, I would first think about it: you bought a part yourself, but you were unable to install the part. Then you came to us to have it installed. We have done this and then you expect that we are not allowed to charge for our working hours???? Please do not come to us in the future. We are not volunteers.

First of all, you said you were going to call and let them know how much it would cost before you started making it. This did not happen, the only thing I received was an email stating how much I still had to pay you. On site you could not give me an explanation about the repairs carried out, your answer was everything has been repaired. Afterwards I called you and I asked you about my invoice because I did not see an invoice on site.

As a description on the invoice, put replace resistance.

Replacing the resistor 123 euros is incredibly expensive for something that takes 10 minutes.

I don't delete anything. I'm just letting people know who they're dealing with. First and foremost you must be honest with your customers!
