We kwamen rond 21u toe op de camping en wilden toch een poging wagen om er die nacht te kunnen staan. De vrouw van de bar was enorm grof en onvriendelijk. Ze blafte kortaf wat we wilden, zonder ons ook maar 1 keer aan te kijken.

Daarna zochten we op onze gsm op de parking naar een alternatief in de buurt. Toen kwam de vrouw terug en vroeg ons hoelang we hier nog zouden staan en dat we nog steeds op het eigendom van de camping stonden.

Verschrikkelijk.

About half the site is static caravans. Camp was quite full when we arrived, there was a VW beetle rally that weekend. The choice of four pitches we were offered had quite a dip towards the front of the pitch and it was impossible to reverse the caravan in without the rear corners of the van hitting the ground when the wheels were in the dip, even though our caravan is very small. I noticed one of the motorhome pitches was free so I asked for that instead, this pitch was much more level though smaller. Shower block is clean but only two showers each for male and female, no temperature control on water and first day water was scorchingly hot second day quite cool. The village of Chimay is very close by, a very easy walk to town centre. There is a bar on site with good selection of Belgian beers. Would stay again if site was less busy and there was a better choice of pitch. Reception staff speak OK English and are friendly enough. 17.50 euro for caravan and two adults.

mooie camperplaats, gemakkelijk te gebruiken mits 5€ bankcontact 24u staan met electriciteit. Heel vriendelijke eigenares van de camping die direct info brochures geeft. Alleen veel nachtlawaai fuif achter de camping tot 7u s'morgens blijkbaar treedt politie hier niet op. Dus camperplaats een aanrader maar niet in het weekend.

tarif correct. proche du centre ville.
et en cadeau nous avons eu droit un sac de victuailles offert par la supérette du coin !

Acceuil 0 étoile. Nous sommes arrivés pour gentiment demander de prendre une douche avec ma copine, après une petite escapade à vélo et avant un mariage Réponse de la tenancière du bar: non. Même en payant? Non. Malgré que ce soit un jour où le camping était pratiquement vide. Dommage et décu:(

Campeggio economico che vale quel che costa. Receptionist poco attenta, bagni sporchi, ma il bel centro di Chimay si raggiunge comodamente a piedi, così come i percorsi ciclabili e l'ufficio di informazione turistica, molto curato e utilissimo per scoprire i dintorni al meglio.

Near to Chimay with good restaurants. Campsite okay. Decent sized pitches and hot showers. Reception spoke reasonable English but were not over friendly. Good for a stopover and would use again just for its convenience.
