Bastogne War Museum, very well set up, great self paced audio tour, multiple theater style presentations of both WWI, the rise of political parties post-WWI and WWII.
I easily spent 2 hours in there and I kind of “speed” museum so it kept my attentionvery respectful to all participants of both wars.
There’s a nice cafe and gift store as well as a very nice property to see the War Monument and walking paths to finish off your visit.response / report this review -

Impressive museum which gives a good representation of the second World War and the Battle of the Bulge. The full storyline of the war is told by 4 main characters (A German officer, an American soldier, A Belgian teacher and a Belgian kid) via an audio headset. Also there are 3 rooms with a movie which give the story something extra. Only not a lot of stuff from the war.

One of the best and most well-organized museums I have encountered. When I first received the audio kit I was a bit reserved, but it worked excellent with the English audio. Besides the audio-kit, all displays and material are shown in english, french and dutch.
The path around the museum takes you from the post-1st WW effects that fueled WW2, and the audio trails provides additional insights and background information that links to the chronically and beautiful displays. During several cinematic galleries, the use of high quality 3D and purpose-built scenes with narrated videos further adds a naturally and well-designed experience to the static displays.
I highly recommend this museum, and this great infotainment experience should appeal to everyone across all ages and interests.response / report this review -

A very well-done museum. I am not much on the audio headsets but they were essential for the video portions of the museum. There are three movies that use the headsets and are very well done. The story of the battle is told from the viewpoint of an American soldier, a German soldier, and two civilians. I had done my homework prior to visiting the museum so was not using the headset until the video’s.
I spent about an hour and a half here at the museum, my wife remarked it was somewhat short for her as she was doing the audio tour and I kept moving her along. I would estimate a half a day for a good tour if you did not know the basics already.
Very kid friendly and quite a bit to do as well as the videos.response / report this review -

A fantastic and very interesting place to visit! To fully enjoy the experience I would say you need about 3 hoursit's that big! The short films are a good sensory experience. My 6 year old enjoyed the whole experience and didn't complain and that's saying something! This place is a must visit and really is an emotive experience.

This is a place in history of one of the most brutal battles near the end of WWII. The museum and monents are a tribute to all those who fought here for the Allies, and those whose lives ended here prematurely defending Liberty. One of many great places to visit in Bastogne. I learned more about what happened here by being here. Amazing place to go. Those who love freedom will appreciate visiting here. Highly recommend visiting here to anybody that can.

It's more than a museum. It is an experience! A must-see for any World War II enthusiast. It is made attractive even to a neophyte by the persona driven story format of the audio guide. That, combined with the short pieces of film, make this a most immersive experience. Beyond the museum, the grounds and the Mardasson memorial dedicated to US soldiers are also quite wonderful and serene.

This museum gives such an immersive experience that you feel you are part of the it. A great setup of 4 storylines provides different perspectives of 4 individuals. It was was more like watching a WW2 movie. Absolutely loved this place and definitely worth it.

A true experience museum. Full audio guided tour that shows the timeline of the second world war is great detail. This is all complimented by the 3 sort of video intermezzos. Truly a different type of museum.

Beautiful museum. Amazing experience. Great cafe. Excellent grounds to walk through. A must for visitors to this area. There is so much history here.
