I actually started off having a pretty nice experience with Staff India. They quickly found me someone to work with in a time that I really needed the assistance. The first person that I spoke to was quite excellent, actually.
However, they weren't completely transparent about our new employee's background. They did not write or speak English at even the level of other entry level contractors that I've worked with from India, Bangladesh or the Philippines.
Even though they said they were "our employee", we had to abide by their holiday and time off rules. Despite this, we actually really loved the personality of the person that we were paired with. He was funny and a hard worker, even if he didn't meet our needs exactly in the way we had hoped.
Slowly the work got worse and worse, and we made the very difficult decision to end the contract. This was awful for a few reasons. First, we wasted a lot of time and money training this person. Second, we really really liked this person on a personal level, it just didn't make sense as they weren't progressing and required someone to redo most of their assignments.
Staff India requires two weeks notice to place the person with a new assignment. I got a verbal agreement that the contractor wouldn't be notified until the end of the contract, so we could keep working together. Well, that was a lie. They told the contractor the next day that his performance was bad and that he should talk to us about it in an effort to keep the contract, I'm sure.
Well, we ended up having the conversation and needless to say I've paid in advance for 2 weeks of work that isn't going to be completed. The contractor isn't even online today. This is immensely frustrating for a startup business with limited capital to waste 2 weeks of labor. It's also unprofessional toward the clients of Staff India.
Needless to say, I am not pleased. So despite the possibility of continuing to send administrative work to Staff India, when we have the work available, we will have to find a different provider.
As we've mentioned this to other small business owners, they were really surprised by Staff India's way of handling this. One even pointed out that it's an inherent flaw that's built in the system for clients to pay for the transition period. I can really see that.
Dislike. Act like a middle man, Don't provide sufficient salary to their stuff Super dislike
