National Institute of Neuro sciences hospital on of the best govt. Hospital. Thou its govt hospital but its always clean. All doctors are very helpful and experienced. They take care patients. All others stuffs are also helpful & experienced.

National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh

National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital started its journey from September, 2012. This Institute was officially inaugurated by Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. It is situated in the health hub of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka. This is the only Govt. run tertiary care neuroscience center in Bangladesh. Three fifty bedded 10 storied hospital having department of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Neurosurgery, Neurophysiology, Neurointervention, Neurorehabilitation, Neuroradiology, Neuropathology, Transfusion Medicine, Critical Care Medicine & so others. Our Operation Theatre, Cath Lab, Laboratory Services, Neuroradiology, Neurophysiology, ICU & HDU are equipped with all modern & sophisticated technologies. We are having specialized out patient service & 24×7 emergency service. We also provide in patient service. Patients get all these services almost free of cost or with minimum charges as per govt. schedule. Everyday more than thousand patients get our specialized OPD service. We conduct Stroke, Headache, Epilepsy, Movement Disorder & Botox Clinic at our outpatient department. Our 100 bedded comprehensive stroke unit is going to start its function within couple of months. Our academic wing is enriched with reputed faculties & conduct residency training & Post Graduate courses for MD/MS/FCPS students under the curriculum of BSMMU & BCPS. We conduct regular training for our physicians working at primary & secondary level to make them acquainted with different neurological disorders & develops the skill to manage these disorders as a part of National Health Service policy. Well, if you are very fed up with the services of government hospitals in Bangladesh, this institute is an extreme exception. The quality, facilities, environment and services they provide is quite extraordinary. I strongly recommend to visit this institute in any kind of problems related to Neurology. Had a successful operation of one my relatives in this Hospital with almost zero cost which would have taken more than 100 thousand Bangladeshi Taka in any private hospitals of Dhaka. Really satisfied.

Had a very positive attitude from the stuff Not like other public hospitals. Got ticket within 15 minutes and visited doctor within another 30 minutes. I will recommend this hospital for neurological problems.

It’s a nice facility with state of the art installations. In the outdoor of this hospital patients can consult internationally trained doctors for 0.12 USD (10 BDT)may times! Thanks to the Government. Much good is done but some eyes do not see! Healthcare for All!

National Institute of Neuroscience and Hospital (NINS & H) is the only autonomous Neuroscience hospital in Bangladesh. Doctors are well trained and friendly. Senior doctors visit the patients several times and look after them . Staffs are also very active.
Very spacious place and neat and clean environment. The only negative things of this hospital is that they release the patients very quickly although the patients is not come round properly .

Pros:
1. Very very good services at government level.
2. Any neurological patient, whether stable or unstable this is the best choice considering all the factors.
3. Every resource that is needed to serve a neurological patient is available.
4. Treatment cost is very low.
5. They offer post graduate academic training & degrees.
Cons:
1. Hospital beds are limited. And no patient is admitted without bed. So, better to go early in the morning like 8:00-9:00 AM.
2. Some services can be delayed as this is actually an academic hospital.
3. Only emergency service on govt. holidays.

Everything is fine and also neat & clean.
Some Doctor's are missing on their chamber and when anyone ask for them they says sir is in the building but we can't know where. From 9 AM i still here, i do it from 2 days ago but I can't meet him yet.

MRI mechine of this institute is very good. But when I go for the serial they says there no serial in 1.5 month. But the Doctor give me the medicine for 7 days only. After seeing the MRI report he will give me the other. But there is no way to do MRI here in 7 days. Also here's Doctor don't prefer MRI from other hospital.

Everything is good but Service is funny.

আমি অনেক বার এই হাসপাতালে গিয়েছিলাম, এমনকি আমি সেখানে কিছুদিন থাকলাম এবং আমার কোন তিক্ত অভিজ্ঞতা নেই। প্রথমে একজনকে দশ টিকেটের টিকিট কিনে নিতে হবে তবে তাকে ডাক্তারের কাছে একটি বিশেষ রুমে যেতে পরামর্শ দেওয়া হবে। সেরা অংশ একটি কক্ষের মধ্যে আছে একাধিক ডাক্তার আপনি তাদের মধ্যে পরামর্শ নিয়ে পরে আপনি সেরা পরামর্শ দেয় পরীক্ষা হবে। সব নিয়ম ও নিয়ম কঠোরভাবে কর্মীদের দ্বারা অনুসরণ করা হয় এবং সদস্যদের বাইরের লোকদের দ্বারা অনুসরণ করা বলে।

This is government hospital specially for brain disease. It is very helpful for poor people because all test/examination are low price here. This hospital almost 50% less fee/cost on the other private clinic in Bangladesh.

i have been there for out patient service. As other govt hospital it was overcrowded but doctors and other stuffs were well behaved. i recommend this place for best treatment in this kind.

My dad was hospitalized here in the emergency ward for 1 week. He slipped and fell on the floor which caused internal bleeding. After bringing him here, we found that the cost of everything was really inexpensive. We got a non paying bed. Usually government hospitals are extremely bad and disgusting place. However we were surprised at the quality of this place. They tried their best to keep everything clean. The nurses, sisters, wardboys and the security guards were very friendly and supportive. A very trustworthy place for neuro medication.

Hospital was excellent, clean, organized, Doctors are very helpful Specially Dr. Din Mohammed. but i am surprise there ECO Dr taken leave more then 20 days and there was no alternative DR. its really unbelievable. hope authority will strongly follow up that matter also counter staff behavior need to change .
