  It is an upazila sadar area. The bazar is very ancient and historically famous. Many villagers come to the bazar everyday. Bazar place is always bussy place from down to dask.

  It's a police thana and a local market under Madaripur District. Called kalkini thana and kalkini bazar.. The all local people of this region do their shopping from there.
  There are banks, hospitals, clinic, fire station and A national university also.. Called sayed Abul Hosain University College.

  All the local products are available here. It is a historic bazar. Saturday and Tuesday is a hut day and usually very crowded as lot of fresh vegetables and products at cheap prices are available in these days.
