Big railway station. You can go anywhere in Bd. You can get food near a hotel. the hotel name THI BANGLA HOTEL &RESTAURANT. The best food in joydevpur.

Too much crowd all the way night and day. This station has a clear and loud speaker system in which the anouncer is super busy to cast the arrival and departure of an upcoming train quite accurately.

Vital railway station and very busy railway station not only for joydevpur but also for bangladesh railway.hundreds of train from the northern bangladesh use this station every day.very noisy and crowding station.thousands of people use this station .very useful station.people can go in Dhaka city and the northern part of the state very early using this station. An always busy and crowded railway station. Very popular among the people of the Dhaka-Jaydebpur route.Trains starts or cross this station to go to Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Rajshahi, Tangail, Dinajpur, Lalmonirhat and to all places of Khulna, Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions. The station is so busy that the officers have to keep running most of the time. The service is in average quality.

Joydebpur is a railway junction in Gazipur District of Dhaka Division in Bangladesh.
History: Joydebpur railway station came up when Dacca State Railway constructed the Narayanganj-Mymensingh metre gauge railway track in 1884-85.
Consequent to the construction of the 4.8 kilometres (3.0 mi) long Jamuna Bridge in 1998, there was reassessment of the requirements of the railways. First, a 99 kilometres (62 mi) long new dual gauge line was to be constructed from Joydebpur to Jamtoil, to connect the eastern part of the Bangladesh railway system to the western part. The problem of two different gauges in two different parts of the country was solved by introducing dual gauge. Second, a 245 kilometres (152 mi) length of broad gauge track from Jamtoil to Parbatpur was to be converted to dual gauge. This made Joydebpur, a dual gauge railway station.response / report this review -

If anyone try to go north-bangladesh(Nator,Rangpur,Dinajpur) by Train(akota,drotojan,nilshagor) from Joydebpur-Mymensingh roadside area try this statio to catch train.
To skip Dhaka metro trafic-jam and save 2/2.5 hours of your journey.

District Level railway station, not very well structured but very important in the aspect of rail communication. It's a juction from where mymensing and tangaile rail path has been dievided.

I am very disappointed at this station. It's a very old & famous junction in Dhaka. But there isn't any public toilet. It's always been a dirty place too. It's not a modern station at all. Need immediate construction.

There a lot hawkers are shown here. Not that much crowdy as other rail station in Bangladesh. You have to be careful about unknown person here. Or you might be a victim.
