One of the best public collage in this area. Very oldest collage also. Quality of education very good. It offers bachelor's degrees & master's degrees. It also has a higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) program. It is affiliated with Bangladesh National University.
Debendra collage was established in 1942 as Manikgonj collage with the inspiration and cooperation of local zamidar, Siddheswari Prasad Rychowdhury. In 1944, the collage was renamed Debendra Collage after the name of the father name of Ranadaprasad Saha of Mirzapur, Tangail Drstrict. The degree courses were introduced in the collage in 1947.

This is one of the Govt college has UGC approval for this college education.
Student are very lucky, education quality also need to improve. Student need career based training in their education life.
Need to learn more deep knowledge though they are doing well in few cases. People of this college really like view from field and pond.
Not so far from Main City Manikganj. Anyone allowed to visit this college day time, except holiday. Fees for education not so much.
