  মসজিদে গমনকারীর প্রতিটি পদক্ষেপে নেকি অর্জন ও গুনাহ মার্জনা হতে থাকে। বাড়তে থাকে তার মর্যাদাও। ইরশাদ হয়েছে, ‘যে ব্যক্তি নিজের ঘর থেকে পবিত্রতা অর্জন করে ফরজ নামাজ আদায় করার উদ্দেশে আল্লাহর ঘরের দিকে যায়, তার একটি পদক্ষেপে একটি গুনাহ ক্ষমা করা হয় ও দ্বিতীয় পদক্ষেপে তার একটি মর্যাদা উন্নীত করা হয়। ’ (মুসলিম, হাদিস : ১৫৫৩)
