Dhaka University Film Society is a renowned organisation which is known as voluntary organisation. Only first year students get chance to connect with the organisation. I think those students are very lucky to get chances to work with organisation for the next 4 to 5 years continuously. I was also a volunteer of that organisation. Another important part is, the culture of the organisation is very student friendly and it is very important to know your culture of your surroundings. Better Film, Better Viewers is the slogan of the Dhaka University Film Society. In short it is also known as the DUFS. Dhaka University Film Society organising every year 3/4 big big events.

Dhaka University Film Society (DUFS) probably most popular (in terms of active member/participation in the film movement in Bangladesh) Film Society.

DUFS is prestigious cultural organisation of the University of Dhaka which participate in regular Campus activities along with national film society movement.

DUFS based on T .S.C 2nd floor, Heart of the Dhaka university established on 1964.

DUFS works with the university students arranging Film shows, study circles etc. Premium festival of DUFS is week long "Amar Vashar Cholochitro" , a film festival on Bangla film screening on the month of February each year.
It also organised "Inter University Short Film Festival" annually which is the platform for young film maker to show their talent.

If yourre interested in film society movement, you would love to visit their Office(popularly known as "room" among its member at TSC, decorated with enormous variation of poster, a large portrait of Sattyajit Roy and off course sitting around a "20*8 feet Oval shaped Table" with so many cheering voice.
