Bangladesh Shishu Academy is the national academy for children in Bangladesh. It was established in 1976 for promoting cultural development of children, and nurturing their talents. Bangladesh Shishu Academy is located beside Doyel Chattar, opposite of the CurzonHall, University of Dhaka. Bangladesh Shishu Academy offers many tanning programs including chess, drawing, singing, dancing, computer courses, handwriting courses, English learning courses and so on only for the students between 6 to 13 years old. The academic year of all courses is July to June. Inside of the Bangladesh Shishu Academy there is a museum. There is no entry fee for the visitors to enter in the museum. Many events, before and after of the liberation war of Bangladesh, are exhibited in the museum. There is also a auditorium inside of the Bangladesh Shishu Academy. And a library is also located in the Bangladesh Shishu Academy. There is a vast collection of books in the library. The books are only issued for the students of Bangladesh Shishu Academy. Bangladesh Shishu Academy also published a monthly magazine which is published every month and the magazine is distributed among the students without any cost. Salina Hossen, the famous writer of Bangladesh is the present chairperson of Bangladesh Shishu Academy.

Bangladesh Shishu Academy is a nice place, Where kids are learning various cultural activities, such as dance, sing, guitar, tabla, spoken etc. A kids library is in here. An auditorium is in here. National cultural competition of children held there. Car parking is available here. A canteen is also there. Everyday too many children visit here. Some national program arrange here.

Fantastic place for young kids to learn various cultural activities. There are many interactive cultural programs held where the students perform. Art, dance and music - all are taught here. It also has a large auditorium where the cultural programmes are held. The library here has a large collection of books and a really nice environment which actually encourages kinds to pick out a book and read. All together, fantastic place for kids to enjoy life.
