Cultural museum. Awesome place for visitors. 2 big pond and jamindar palace give you some awesome moments. This is also a historical place so if u have enough time for traveling u can visit this place.

Alongside getting to know about the various artefacts used in daily folk cultural life as exhibited inside the tribal museum, one can walk about the beautifully decorated garden, enjoy a boat ride on the lake and buy trinkets from the local people selling their wares. A wonderful place to visit as a day's outing.

This place is awesome for visiting. I was visit there February 2016. There has lot of sign of our tradition. When i enter in the gate i saw a building at the front which has stored some sign of our tradition. The area is really very wide of this place. All of the places always remains crowded inside of this place. A Lot of students and peoples are go there daily for enjoying picnic . This place is really very enjoyable. I love it.

If wanna know the true folk art and handicraft culture of Bangladesh, this is one of the best place to learn about them visually.
There is so many small and medium size handicrafts but no description about them. So foreigners need a local guide who has much knowledge about them. The best drawing artist of Bangladesh, Mr. Jainul Abedin got much focus in the museum. His artworks and sculptures are there. You can purchase souvenir from the ground floor. Area is big, but unfortunately you can walk around in very limited space. Another surprise is that there is a small lake for ⛵ boating. Better to take life jacket for babies as they don't provide that.
It's better to reach there in the morning. Enough shops for carbonated beverage, ice cream,chips etc. Restrooms at far corners.

Nice place to spend time. But the place could've been secured as there are lots of baggers and third gender people who demands money like hijackers. There is no good food court. You'll get some with very high price than usual.
Guide recommended for foreigners.

Museum collection is not good. Collections are only 100 or 200 years old and not so attractive.
But nice place for couple. Enough space and charming natural beauty. Specifically awesome when rains .

A good place for knowing indigenous heritage and culture. Its a good place to pass 3/4 hours easily. Many crafts and local products can be bought after proper bargaining. Comparatively cheap and you will have much options. Its also a good looking place to visit

There is a huge collection of folk arts and crafts. Many kinds of hand-made products are collected and displayed here. One can know easily about ancient civilizations and their cultures. During the reign of Ishakha Sonargaon was made the capital. It is really a very nice place. There is hardly a person who visits Sonargaon but is not charmed. So I would like to invite and suggest all the people of the world to visit the place whenever they get chance.

Huge huge arena firstly, the museum that shows our Folk culture and secondly, comes The KARUPOLLI Village which is a huge one and shows the model of a typical Bengali village. A beautiful place to roam around with Family, relatives or friends.

It is a place which represent Bangladeshi culture. The museum have lots of artifacts that is used by urban people for their household chores & other day to day work. It is a three storied building & inside of the museum is well organized. No ticket is required to enter the museum, however one have to purchase a ticket to enter the premises. Outside of the museum is very neat & clean with a big & beautiful park.
It will be wise not to visit this place on public holiday to avoid large crowd.

Bangladesh Folk Art & Crafts Foundation was established on 12th march in 1975. It is located 24 km from the capital Dhaka in the away of Dhaka – Chittagonj highway.

The main aims and objectives of this organization is to collection of the traditional monuments of Bangladesh folk art and crafts elements along with preservation and exhibition artistically and to restore for the present and future generation.

A nation’s self identity is born by its own culture. Virtually, folk art and culture is the driving force of our nationalism. Now the foundation has two folk art & crafts museums to hold our thousand years old traditional & perpetual resplendent beauty of folk culture and handicrafts. It has also an eye catching lake, Ponds, library, Documentation Center, Sales Center, Cafeteria, three Craft Bridges, one Craft Village and a Craft Art Village.
