It is a very good and first class higher educational institution. Their education system is up to date. It has a historic reputation. It was founded by Ashwini Kumar and named after Brozo mohon. The famous bengali poet Zibonanda Das studied here. It’s campus is very beautiful and charming. They have three big pond inside the campus. They have digital attendance system. Many reputed person studied here. Former ministry of industry Amir Hosen Amu studied here. All above till now it is the best palce to take higher education in Barisal.

On June 14, 1889, Aswini Kumar Duttafounded Brojo Mohan College, which was named after his father, Brajamohan Dutta.[2]
The first principal of the college was Babu Gyan Chandra Chowdhury. While Ashwini Kumar Dutta taught English and logic, Kali Prasanna Ghosh taught history and Kamini Kumar BidyaRatna taught Sanskrit and Bengali. In 1898, BM College was transformed into a "First Grade College" from a "Second Grade College". In 1912, the college went to government management from personal management strategy. One of the best educational Institution in Bangladesh. It ranks one of the topmost colleges of Bangladesh. It has at least 20 departments. It has 7 academic buildings two playgrounds, two reservoirs, gardens. It has attactive natural beauty. There are sits beside the ponds. Everyday many men come for exercise and recreation in the morning and in the afternoon. I love this college, it fascinated me, so I can't give any description.

Brojmohun College was established on 14th June in 1889 by Mahatma Ashwini Kumar Dutta. But history chronicles that he first established the B.M shcool patronized by his great father in 1884 and then it it evolved into B.M. College to meet the increasing demands of higher education for the poor southerners. In 1917 the college was transferred into the present location. This college had got a revolutionary spirit as the Swadeshi movement and its ideology against British Raj streamed through it. So a counter colonial nature is integral with this college. Mahatma had exerted a tremendous leverage in amassing the highest patriotic scholars of that time, as such Brojendranath Chatterji, Rajonikanta Guha, Babu Swatish Chandra who left an effort to add glory to this college. Thus in the post partition and in the post independence period other legendary teachers as such Jibonanda Dash, Prof. Md. Hanif , Kazi Golam Kader, Prof. Shamsul Haque , Dr. Pronoti Bose added laurel to this college. It was due to the imparting of proper education Calcutta University had permitted this college to induct honors courses in that 1922, first in English and Philosophy and then gradually in other disciplines. The period 1922-1948 was the golden age for B.M College. The achievements even drew the comments from Sir Woodburn and other English high officials that the college should be ranked with oxford. But partition in 1947 was a blow for this college. So the honours courses went off. Again the college got back on its track in 1964 by introducing honours in Economics. Then in 1965 it was provincialized and in 1972 Govt. B.M college started its Journey with honours in 7 disciplines and masters in 5. And then may other honours courses were added which total in to 19. This college had been gaining academic excellence since 1928; the names can be mentioned Debprashad Ghosh, Shantishodha Ghosh, Dilip Kumar Chakrawarti, Shantisudha as such. This college had a significant role in anti British movement along with the movements in 52, 62, 69 and specially to be underscored the liberation war of 1971.

One if the finest and massively large University College campus I have ever been. Large ponds there might enchant one most. Several green fields also attract us. It has age old heritage. And, most popular institution for Graduation and Post Graduation in Barisal Division. One thing I must not forget to mention that the girls there are so lovely, pretty and cute that one might fall free in love.

Govt. Brojomohun College, established on 14 June 1889, is spreading the light of knowledge till now with reliability, confidence and sincerity. The College is situated in the Divisional City of Barisal some 2 kilometers away from the famous river Kirtonkhola. This is the most ancient and aristocratic College of Greater Barisal and one of the most prestigious colleges of Bangladesh. The college has produced a good number of famous personalities in various fields who keep contributing in their respective field. Govt. BM College is the holy symbol of truth, love and purity. The mass people of Barisal feel pride for this famous college.

A famous educational institution of southern region under National University. This institution has a glorious past, as it was often called the ‘Oxford of Bengal’. The campus is a beautiful one with a few ponds. The place is quite peaceful at times.

I haven't any kind of experience about this university. As much as I know about this university from my interest. However, to look this university is very an ancient as well as historical also. Here emblazonry systems is very outstanding and most of part of this university has been reddened with a lots of glowing. Especially, the pond of this university which is situated side of the college is looking celestial! Although now I'm studying in the USA but I'm the citizen of Bangladesh and I've a wish to visit this university after come up in my own country. :)

The most renowned educational institutions under the National University of Bangladesh. About 26 departments, 30,000 students and 500 teachers. The quality of education is the best amongst the National University of Bangladesh. But the number of teachers are not enough, accumulation problems are also very high. Many teachers are in study leave. At least 200 teachers should be appointed and 8 to 10 students' Hall should be made to get back its historical value (the Oxford of the East).
