The Australian International School- Dhaka, Bangladesh is an international school serving students from 3-18 years old. We are located on three campuses in the diplomatic area of Dhaka known as Gulshan. The school uses the Australian National Curriculum and is accredited by the Western Australian government. The Curriculum Framework integrates eight learning areas to ensure a balanced education and a strong foundation for each child. This power of eight includes: English, Mathematics, Science, Health, Technology, Arts, Society and the Environment, and Mother Language.
At the Senior Campus 3, inspections, moderations and external exams are monitored by the Western Australian School Curriculum and Standards Authority. Our students graduate with the Western Australian Certificate of Education at the end of Year 12. This enables them to apply in a competitive manner to any university in the world.
Our school model is unique as we use foreign hired teachers to act as mentor teachers to share their experiences and skills with local teachers. We also hire for specific subject areas. The mentor teachers demonstrate teaching strategies, assist local teachers in lesson planning and using the strategies demonstrated, implement professional development training, and perform administrative tasks. This consulting teacher model challenges the experienced teacher to share their craft and the art of teaching. We are looking for qualified and experienced teachers to work with us to expand our school and continue to develop teaching capacity.

The senior campus could be better with more facilities such as a 3D printer like ISD for Design and Technology class. The internet could also be better as it is a very important aid for our education and it is often slow because a lot of people are using it. Rather than this, everything else is very good and all the teachers are really helpful and patient. The staff are also great and address all our problems with no hesitation.
