I am so happy I received this request. I had a very bad experience today. Today is the second occasion that I encountered the person who restock the vegetables. She is one of the most uncouth individuals I have met. Her customer service leaves a lot to be desired. On the first occasion when I encountered her I just decided to ignore her attitude because I figured she was having a bad day. But today took the icing from the cake. She was very obnoxious. I resolved after this encounter that Popular will never spend a cent of my hard earned money if she is to benefit. She definitely needs training. She is a heavy set person (I fail to call her a lady),dark and looks mature. I hope she gets help and learns to be more courteous. I can expound on my experience if management cares to listen.

Probably the best supermarket for budget conscious shopping in the island, the prices are on average well below many other local shopping options. However this means they are very busy all the time and the lines inside get crazy long so expect a long wait, especially with covid restrictions. Traffic management and parking are pretty bad and there are always few to no spots available and plenty delays in the one way driving flow.

Great supermarket. Most of the prices are reasonable. There is variety of brands for each article. The aisles are clean and sanitizing of hands is done before entrance. Also, your temperature is taken. Overall you can find practically a majority of food items at this place.

Love the spacious supermarket and car park too. But I find I when I shop in the city branch I get out much faster than when I go to the out of city one's. But some of the best shopping prices you could want now in these hard times hope there can be even better.

Prices are very good but the set up can be confusing for newcomers. There are baggers but you have to take out your groceries yourself. Very busy most of the time so don't expect to get through quickly.

A great variety of higher end brands with lower end but quality products. Clean atmosphere and nice layout. Pricing is pretty reasonable and should satisfy shoppers irrespective of their income bracket.

2 major cons. One For possibly one of the more popular supermarket chains price wise they variety and options are not enough in my opinion. You still find yourself having to leave there to get what they dont have from somewhere else.

Two The shelves need to be restocked more regularly. Too often I go there and some shelves are very low on stock as a result what I want is not on the shelf. Very often it is in stock just that no one has restocked the shelves as yet. I just end up leaving without that item and possibly stopping somewhere else.

One of the best supermarkets on the island, much better prices for similar items in other large stores. Ample parking. Friendly cashiers and packers. Yes Barbados supermarkets have persons there to pack your groceries, most are polite and happy to use your bags. It is acceptable to tip if you feel to do so.

Popular Supermarket is one of the few popularly patronised large retailers of foodstuff, including non-alcoholic beverage and alcoholic spirits and wines, as well related disposable catering accessories. There is also a pharmacy on the south-side of the ground floor and a restaurant upstairs. The establishment is centrally located at Kendal Hill, near Rubis petrol station.

It has parking for an estimated 100 plus average-size vehicles as well as vehicles used by the physically disabled. It maintains marked handicap ramps, pedestrian crossings and walkways as well.

Sufficient shopping carts are stored and available on both the inside and outside, not to far from the entrances/exits with shelter stations.

The selection of goods are satisfactory and growing slowly. The pharmacy stocks a representative supply of popularly demanded remedies and related goods. The restaurant provides a good sample of local foods at reasonable prices.

Overall, the service is above par. Staff is very helpful and courteous. The shopping environment offers comfortable and is reasonably secure as security staff are on the grounds and surveillance devices within the building. The prices reflect a certain degree of consideration for the poor and challenging economic climate compared to the average large establishment.

Generally good variety and well laid out. Lines can be long during peak hours but not too much of an inconvenience. Prices are good as well. In good proximity to a gas station and the highway. The complex also has a restaurant and home supply store!

Best value for groceries in the island. Can be quite crowded so be prepared to wait a while at checkout if you go during peak hours. That being said, this location is significantly less congested / easier to shop and find parking than their other locations.

First visit. Lots of space; nicely laid out, and I've already noticed some reasonably comparable items in terms of price. Potentially a 4.5 but I will say 3 at this point because it's just way too cold for me. Not sure how often I will visit because of this discomfort.

Nice facility, the aisles arent too small and there is a good selection of products. I found everything i needed there, and the prices were great. My only complaint is that the queues to the check-out points stretch through the aisles which is a bit inconvenient for other shoppers.

Today Tuesday the number of shoppers was considerable less. The shelves were either well stacked or being stacked. However a number of cashiers were training new cashiers at the time I shopped but I got out quickly. I now have to check the pricing since the Introduction of the new levy.
