This place is amazing! The food is great and the atmosphere is buzzy - if you're going on Fridays, arrive early (6/7pm) or be prepared to wait a while however, everyone is friendly so it won't feel too long!

Nr.1 not to miss on your Friday night. A great hangout with locals and international tourists alike. Food primer fish dishes straight off the BB. and of course. and music, craft market, etc. Its all there. But I like it during the daytime, then its not so crowded, It has a nice public beach and the fish market is near.

I love Oistins. We tried to eat here as often as possible, since the fish is fresh and the food is cheap and affordable. You can get some good rum punch to go with your food too. Highly recommend the Macaroni Cheese pie.

Wow!

I am not a huge fish lover, I find strong tastes of fish to be gross but when I visited Barbados recently; I wanted to indulge in the experience of the island so I gave the fish a try. What a pleasure! The Marlin was amazing and the culture experience is deep. If you visit the fish market on a Friday for the local experience you will not be disappointed! A must visit when visiting Barbados.

We went on a Friday and a Sunday night. Friday was hopping and an absolutely great time. Every vendor both was open.
Parking is a bit tricky. We found a great spot east of the fish fry area. It's right behind the bus stop. There aren't many great spots nearby, so go really so you don't need to park a km away.
We went to Pat's both nights. First night we were crammed in like sardines because they were so busy and we really enjoyed it. It was cool to get seated with other people and got us chatting and meeting new people.
We tried fried flying fish, grilled dolphin (mahi mahi), rice and peas, Mac pie, grilled potatoes and coleslaw. All of it was amazing. One of the best fish meals I've ever had.

You MUST go to Oistins if you visit Barbados. I don' t like sea food but the fish is fantastic and the only place that I enjoy eating fish is Barbados. Prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is great as you eat out doors in the beautiful warm weather with music in the background.

As a lover of fish, this is by far the best dining experience I've had. The freshest possible fish, cooked to absolute perfection. Grab a table and select your dish from the many outlets here then sit, eat and enjoy the live music (if on at the time of visit). Dolphin fish, jack fish and flying fish were by far my favourites, with Virtually any side You can't go wrong. Brilliant experience I'll never forget. Will return them next time I'm visiting 'Bim'!

Bellamy's has the BEST fish cakes anywhere. They are amazing, and the service is awesome. Get off the street-side dining and get a picnic table in between all the little shacks. AMAZING!

I've been going to Oistins for many years. Though you have to be careful about which food stall to patronize (hints: the longer the line, the better; go where the locals go), the overall experience is very good. One gets to rub shoulders with local people in a very organic environment and to sample exquisite island cuisine. I found the prices to be good for tourists, but for those in the know, the prices have been steadily climbing and are a bit more than you would pay in other locations. If fish is not your thing or you want some variety and you want to save some cash, try Granny's (it's just across the street). Those chicken livers are ridiculously good!

One pet peeve: In recent years, it seems that you cannot walk the street a few feet without someone shoving a menu in your face. Stop. It. It degrades the experience.

Authentic doesn't begin to cover itreality check for the modern tourist, good food and beer served in a circus/carcrash/out of comfort zone environment. I loved it. Don't dress up.

The grilled snapper and fish pie was scrumptious. I also enjoyed the flying fish. There was dancing and a fun atmosphere in this partially open area next to a fish market. Watch out for overcharging if you are a tourist.

It's a place you have to visit!
Go there on a Friday night and have a great time and some good food!
Just pick any of the many little restaurants and try as many things as possible. Together with an ice old beer and the live music, just great.

Awesome expérience we had lots or fun and food was great we ate at Angels and uncle George . Angels was cheaper and food was as good if not better the portion were equal but service much better at Angels I returned a lobster because I felt it was too burned and the cook came himself to say sorry so did the waitress they gave me another lobster which was a bit bigger so no complaints there .

Big downside !!! The music is awesome and everybody in our party wanted to dance but there was those 2 guys dancing in front of the stage and taking all the place so nobody could dance they had they're hats down so that people would throw money to them . We don't care about looking at 2 moderately mediocre dancer we wanted to dance and so did everybody else so DEFINITELY SOMETHING TO WORK ON !

Excellent food but a little on the expensive side for where you are. Bds$ 60 (£23) for a fish dinner. Great music for all tastes. This is a local as well as a tourist place to meet every Friday night. Don't be fooled by the name though. They no longer fry the fish, it is grilled. Much healthier and tastier in my opinion. A must do.

Like the other reviews said it's lively on Friday nights with a party atmosphere. It's often a bit difficult to get food on Friday nights also because of its popularity. On other days/nights of the week it's easier to get served. Recommend that you try Mo's place where the service is good and the fish even better

Love eating here when I'm in Barbados on a Friday night. My favourite place is Debbie's. good customer service, staff who know what's on the menu and advise you if food has run out.. mind you if the sides have run out they will go out of their way to make sure you have those provisions. Reasonably priced

Crowded gathering of people on Friday nights. Get there before 7 to find an easy seat. Party starts around 7. Dozens of vendors of the food and goods variety. Expect many people to approach you about food. You choose one and they seat you at their vendor's table with others. Food is good and plentiful. Expect to pay $15-20 US per person. Get to the pier early to catch a glimpse of sea turtles. Bring a tip for the boy with bait that draws them in. Possible great site for sunset photos over the water.

Nice place to go on Friday Evening/Night. It's kind of a local public park party. There is a lot of small local food restaurant with outside picnic table or table with chairs. There is a scene with a DJ and some locals come to do breakdance on the scene. There are small souvenir shops also. The food is cheaper than around and you got big plate for the size. Mostly fish and choice of sides.

There is plenty of place to sit but it can gets packed quickly so arrive not too late (8PM max). There is also traffic just before arriving and leaving; you might have to wait to get a bus/taxi.

Overall you have to go there at least 1 time if you are in Barbados on a Friday.

This is quite an experience, bit for the faint hearted, but not to be missed. Ate at uncle George's which was very good and very reasonable.
The music, dancing and craft stalls, as well as the food, all made this a great evening out. It is very busy, very noisy, and attracts tourists, and locals alike.

Amazing food and a cool atmosphere, a must do when in Barbados. It is open every night, but Friday is the best night! Allow yourself LOTS of extra time to get there (x4) as it's total gridlock on main road. Our driver knew the back "roads" and it still took a long time!

The food is amazing. 4 stars because the party atmosphere might be a bit overwhelming for some. Expect loud voices begging for your attention over the din of many people in a small place. If you like a lively place this is it. Again though the food

Friday night fish fry - very lively and busy. We were lucky to get seats for our group of 6. Friendly atmosphere reminded me of Oktoberfest. Food was great.

This place is amazing! Great vibes and even better food. Fried Flying fish from Red Snapper was seasoned beautifully. My husband and I went there every night we were in Barbados.
