Live music, great vibe in the bar.

Food is decent, stay local when you can. Chicken was a bit bland, go for fish tacos or beef.

Margaritas are amazing and they tend to have specials on drinks so ask!

Parking is across the street on the main road outside of St. Lawrence Gap; or a half a block down there’s $5 parking. Safe.

Loved the brunch here, the servers were kind and accommodating. We went there almost everyday we were in Barbados. The view is amazing from the terrace.

Cafe sol is a great little Mexican restaurant with a mix of locals and tourists. Every day has a drink special, the staff is very polite with fast service. Mix of musical genres playing. Great views of the sea right from your table. Pretty decent prices overall.

Great service great food the only problem is you have to make reservations .I don't come to Barbados without going there. They always have drink specials. The drinks are just as great as their food . Even their salads are great.

Food was great as well as the service! During peaks hours especially during tourist season, there can be a little wait once without reservation but you will be accommodated and seated in a timely manner.

My family had a great time here. The food was delicious, and we recommend the tapas platter. Our child also has fun looking at the fun decorations and paintings on the walls.

So first of all a big thank you to the kind staff, owners and other patrons that helped my girlfriend when she fainted (too much heat not enough water). They all went above and beyond in helping as well as generally being kind and gracious.

Food was really nice, service was attentive and the view was great. We had lunch there and really enjoyed ourselves.

    5 stars would absolutely recommend.

Great location at one end of the gap. Had lunch looking at the the beach and sea across the street. The food is good. Marjiritas were delicious but a little small. Great place to relax and enjoy the great weather in Barbados. Friendly and attentive staff.

Brightly coloured cafe/bar at the entrance to Gap, excellent selection of Mexican food and a good selection of cocktails.
The whole outside of the Cafe has shutters which are lifted up so you are looking out over the beach and the Gap, whilst still being undercover if a shower goes through. It can get very busy but is worth
    They serve lunch as well,

OK Mexican dishes. My husband and I shared chicken fajitas and they were good, but the restaurant across the way (Castaways) looked better (they had flying fish tacos, Thai curry and GF pizza!). If you want Mexican though Cafe Sol is the place + happy hour 2-for-1 from 5-7

Our entire experience as not great. Wait staff not attentive at all. One of the two drinks was wrong. The fajitas were tasty and the portion, enough to make 6 good sized tacos, was well worth the price. The amount of toppings were not enough to make the fajitas, maybe two of them. The biggest issue was the tortillas. Three. You get three, very thin, 6 inch flour tortillas. You want more? That will be $2 (usd) per two. Yup. You read that right. Bunch of BS if you ask me. You don't find this out until you get your bill. Surprise. Oh and you wanna leave a small tip to go with your bad experience? Too bad. 10% is already added for the table on the final bill.

A little crowded, due to its small space. Loud environment - Friday night lime vibe - great for groups! Food is great!

For a busy restaurant, It's good for a trendy crowd of 2-4 persons based on the size and room space. The restaurant has a easy gooding atmosphere, which sells a variety of mexican food and acholic beverages at an affordable price.

My experience was pretty okay, however my daughters food came out about 20/25 mins before the adults food. So my daughter was finished before before my food came out and therefore needed entertaining whilst we was eating food. The food was nice took too long though.
Also the table that we had wasn't very good there was too fans above blasting away blowing over menus and cups. When asked for then to be turned down or off we was told we had to be considerate of other guests. Eventually someone turned the fans down. The area is so cramped people kept knocking my chair and a sparkler had to come over my head to for someone birthday. Fortunately I was not wearing hair spray.
So a few problems however food was nice so not too back I suppose

Wonderful location with a great view. Only Mexican place on the south side. Staff very friendly. Not very crowded in late afternoon but gets packed as the evening approaches.

It may be the only Mexican restaurant on the south side of Barbados (right at the entrance to the Gap), but it's also very good. Outdoor seating is available and this area looks out on a bay/beach area. Good spot to eat if you plan on visiting the Gap for the evening.
