Pleasant experience, the monkeys really do not pay you any attention. Fun attraction, overall had a nice time, it was a bit shorter than expected.
Definitely worth a visit. I think April is tortoise mating season though So be warned. Nice day out, lots of good info and facts, pleasant staff.
The monkeys are great. It’s best to go at feeding time to monkeys up close. It’s a very pretty park. Not huge but an easy walk, make sure you check out the birds and reptiles.
Great fun for kids and adults alike. You do not have to wait until 2pm (feeding time for animals) to see monkeys. Monkeys are all around and you can go up close with them. Walking through the trail and seeing the animals in their natural environment (fenced however) is the closest to a safari experience I guess. Great experience and a must see when in Barbados.
Super fun! So many cute animals, like the Mara and the Brock Deer and Tortoises etc. If you wanna see monkeys be there at 2 when they feed them. Also don't miss walking around in Grenade Hill Forest and visiting the old signal station and learning about some of the islands history as well.
While you get to see some interesting animals, it's very run down and in need of some serious love. There were a few animals that looked as though they needed medical attention.
Awesome experience. Got up close and personal with monkeys, tortoises, deer, various birds, and maras. Recommend going at a feeding time (we went at 2pm) so you can see all the different animals.
Nice little place to walk around and great for the kids. Go at 2pm - feeding time to see all the animals flock together and eat! Cafe is not open on the weekends.
Definitely a good experience for kids. Reasonable rates. We didn't take the "safari" tour - a truck tour of the grounds. The exhibits and open wildlife walk was fun. Unfortunately, they only took cash payments and very few of the animals were identified with plaques at their stations. So, while it was enjoyable, the learning experience was limited. It was nice to see a live caiman, which I had never seen before.
Visited the Wildlife Reserve in Early December. Had a great experience while we were there. This gave us an opportunity to see wild animals up close from birds to peacock and monkeys.
The only thing that could have been better is to have a gift shop, but it was not a huge problem.
The place also offered a free trail hike along with a purchase of entrance tickets for the Wildlife Reserve.
The trail hike had a small fruit bat cave to go through and some beautiful views on the ocean.
Loved our day a lot and had no regrets.
Awesome place 30$Barbados adult and 15$Barbados kids and free for under 3years old. You can see lots of monkeys turtle s snakes peacocks iguanas and Baras. The place is very well maintained and the staff is great walking around with a stroller is impossible due to the bricks with I was told came from an old plantation which made it a bit acceptable lol.
Place is very nice and interesting
People are great
Animals are awesome
Great hidden secret of Barbados
Worth the trip for sure
will be going back a second time in a week in 2 days
Have to go during the monkey feeding was just wonderful !
Super for kids - signal station is interesting and a nice marked nature trail
The monkeys made this day trip perfect we got there 10 am just in time for feed the monkeys who gather around you for food amazing, friendly staff, uneven ground but adds to the atmosphere get there early
Small but busy and beautiful nature park, lots of turtles, nice show room with birds, couple reptiles, caimans, rabbits and green monkeys. Best time to visit is around 2 PM when is feeding time.
Our favourite activity in Barbados. Understated, serene, protected from the sun by trees, it offers a unusual opportunity to get close to the wildlife. The monkeys are free to come and go, but return in the afternoon.
Lots to see, best place to see monkeys. Especially if you attend feeding time at 2pm! The majority of animals are free roaming so they are accessible - this makes for great photos with no bars or cages in the way.
The entrance fee can be paid in US dollars or BDS (tied 2:1).
this is the most amazing place .. we went with our Grandson who was thrilled with the wildlife
Lots of green monkeys and a small selection of other animals. Good way to spend a couple of ours if you are a nature buff. Lots of parrots and other birds. Most animals roam "free". Meaning you can walk amount them.
Whilst it was good to be "close up and personal" with the animals, I was left feeling very sad at their meagre, muddy environment. They have little space and an artificial environment so that they cannot hide away and escape the tourists. I felt it to be cruel and unnatural. Give the animals far more space and options to feed themselves rather than being dependent on a fight for food coreographed for the tourists rather than the animals.
My daughter loved it! Just watch out for the monkeys!
Loved this experience! Didn't arrive until 3:30 and was worried we would not have enough time.but No Worries! We met the most amazing staff member named "Ron" and he made sure we met, feed, petted, and experienced all the animals!
Ron made our experience a 5 star!!
Not a whole lot of excitement here, not a bunch of wildlife, pretty basic and minimal. We weren't there at monkey time though, around 3pm they come out of the hills to feed. Worth going because you get the two for one ticket with the adjacent forest and tower attraction.
Fantastic place. Nice wildlife reserve. Feeding time was very beautiful. How all the animals get along
