The room was in desperate need of a remodel. Two large floor to ceiling cracks in the wall, miss matched drapes that had never been cleaned, all the furniture was so worn out, it looked dirty. Water pressure was non existent, good luck taking a shower. Location was nice, but it is near locations where the sewage is coming through the street. Beach is nice, and the staff was friendly. If you need a place to stay before/after a cruise for a night, you can make due. But if you are looking for a week get a way, keep looking.

Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Jamal, one of the bell hops, in particular was absolutely great. He booked our dinner reservations, gave us tips on the best tours, and told us the best local restaurants to try out. The hotel itself was clean and the pool and beach were beautiful and well kept. Happy hour deals at the hotel were a steal and food was reasonably priced! Great vacation spot for families and retirees. I truly enjoyed my stay and would go back again.

Beach and rum punch best thing about the place. They lost hot water for a day and a half. They did give us $200 BDS credit to use at the hotel. We used it drinks and meal at the Asian fusion restaurant which was nice. Must get ocean or pool views for a good room. A more mature crowd also. The location is great near shops and transportation.

Never stayed at a hotel that was so close to a terrific beach. The beach is integrated into the hotel via a bridge and a short walkway. It's beautiful! Check in was painfully S-L-O-W, but after that, things really picked up. Rooms were very large, beds were comfy and the balcony overlooking the nearby street provided some great local entertainment. Just across the street are several very good options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Finally - there's also shopping nearby too. Picked up some very cool high quality sandals and a bottle of local rum. All in all a fabulous place to stay when arriving or departing a cruise. Did I mention that they ply you with a complementary welcome rum punch? Yes, they do. But even after three rum punches I still managed to write an objective review!

Visited on a day pass. A few staff didn't know about this and we had a little confusion at times when getting towels and lunch. The day pass wasn't cheap at $50 US, we thought it was the best option during a long connection at the airport. Taxi was about $20, we were checked in quite quickly. They will store your luggage and there is a hospitality room for showers and changing ( recommend you book this for the end of the day). The pass included lunch which was fine and a rum punch. Pool and beach were great although the sun loungers were quite busy. Definately better than hanging around the airport!

At the Accra you can sunbath, walk the broadwalk, go up and down the street to find something to eat and still feel safe as a woman. One of the best island to stay at. The locals sure to make you feel at home. Third year in a row. Staff at this hotel accommodate your needs.

I love this hotel! The staff is very friendly and helpful, they make sure you are having a good time. The hotel is by the beach, which is very convenient. The hotel's restaurants are superb, with great food. It is also close to little malls and good restaurants. I will definitely come back!

My husband and I stayed here as part of our vacation in Barbados this year. Horrible was our experience.

The front desk staff was not knowledgeable about any of our questions (except for 1 guy named Nicolas).

It took hours upon hours to get a room. We arrived early at the hotel, but go a room only late in the afternoon.

When we finally got one, the room was awful. The AC was incredibly noisy and we asked twice for a room change and got none. The room was advertised as island view, but unfortunately there was no view.

The windows were sealed because there was no view to observe. Except for giant bags of salt and an abandoned lot of land next door. The room felt like a hovel.

Also, the staff that should take of food stuff at your room was clearly absent for the duration of our stay.

We was told by the restaurant staff to leave any plates with foodstuff we took back to the room just outside the door so that someone can clear it way. We did just that and unfortunately the plate stayed there for the entire duration of our stay there. I also saw other items remaining outside other guests rooms as well.

Overall the entire experience was disappointing for us given that in the past the service was so much better.

Thank goodness we had booked at another hotel, far much better than Accra was, else our vacation would have been ruined.

I won't be staying here again!!!!!

Firstly I would like to say this has got to be my worst hotel experience. Perhaps if I booked accommodation in the local prison I would have been treated better. The first day I stayed in this hotel, I sat in the bar area and the there was only one table where food can be consumed so I sat on this table and awaited someone to assist me. Waiters passed me as if I were invisible and no one even asked if I wanted a menu or something to drink. Numerous times I tried to get the waiters attention but they were all to busy talking amongst their peers to be preoccupied by the hotel guests. I finally got the attention of one and I firstly asked for the table to be cleaned as it was extremely dirty. She seemed as though I asked her to do the imposible as her facial expression seemed as if I were nagging her. I then proceeded to order food, and when it arrived the waiter quickly left so I asked another one of the waiters for a fork. The waiter looked at me and replied in a very rude tone “ we doh have any.” I am in a bar situated inside your hotel serving food and your waiter is to lazy to get a fork so he just ignores my request. This passed on the first day. The second day I was in the same bar area. My girlfriend did not like any of the food available in the bar as it is very limited for vegetarians so she purchased a small side portion of plantain and mashed potatoes in a restaurant nearby the hotel so she can sit and accompany me eat my meal. After I ordered my meal and was waiting for my food to arrive she decided to eat a piece of plantain and immediately a member of staff came up to us and said we have to leave because she cannot consume food from anywhere else besides this hotel. I explained to her I ordered food for me to eat but the vegetarian menu was limited in this hotel so my girlfriend had no other choice but to buy from another restaurant. The staff member said to cancel my order and leave. I have never in my life encountered such mistreatment the thousands of days I stayed in various hotels around the world. The staff really lacks training and is perhaps the worst I have ever come across. IF YOU WANT BETTER TREATMENT THAN ACCRA BEACH HOTEL AND SPA PERHAPS BOOK ACCOMMODATION IN THE LOCAL PRISON.

Every time I stepped onto the beach I was harassed by locals to buy drugs, they kept talking like they were doing me a favor since I was a tourist and the laws did not apply to me. They wouldn't leave me alone to enjoy my stay. Nothing is open any where after 10-11, A/C barely works and renovations to the building during the middle of the day had some kind of tile dust spewing all over the pool, causing the swim up bar to close. Multiple people complained and nothing was done, debris kept getting in people's eyes and drinks. Paid extra money for an ocean view to only find out a huge white awning is blocking half of my view. There are no working ice machines either.Would not recommend.

Took over 2 hours to get my room due to an overbooking error which put half our group in another hotel. Ordered food that never came, until after I was asked, if i had ordered took nearly an hour. Elevator broke to room on the 4th floor overlooking dirt lot and construction materials for 3rd floor construction project. Air conditioner did not work. On the upside, the hallway trash pile near my room made it easy to find. I Would not recommend this place to anyone for any reason.

This hotel is fantastic. The rooms are nice and clean with a beach theme. The hotel is beachfront with several pools and a swim up bar. You can get and inclusive package or pay as you go. I loved visiting. Will definitely come back.

If you on a nice budget this is a wonderful hotel to stay at it's in a great location public transportation is right in front of the hotel that would take you pretty much in town to famous strip called The Gap it's in walking distance to many shopping and food Outlets. And the most important thing it is in a safe environment many sports bars clubs is all in walking distance this hotel offer many types of rooms and most important all the food quality is great

Great location. Close to bars, restaurants, and convenience stores. We found it's considerably more cost affective to buy booze at the convenience store across the street than to buy it at the hotel. We used this hotel as a home base while we explored the island.

The personnel in this resort really go the extra mile to please their customers. My husband was staying there recently on a business trip. I knew that our anniversary was fast approaching and wasn't quite sure if he would make it home on time. Unfortunately his stay was extended and we were not able to celebrate together. I contacted the hotel to see if they had any room deliveries. They immediately took care of it. This place far exceeded my expectations. Nice place to stay in the beautiful Barbados.

Great service. They were flexible to meet my needs and it was overall a pleasant experience. I was in transit to London via Barbados and had a wait of 9 hours. I was referred to Accra as I could buy a day pass to sit in the beach and use their facilities, including the hospitality suite where I could have a shower and prepare for my next flight. Normally you should book but they were flexible and gave me a day pass without the necessary pre-booking that they have in place. Sea was great and I was well taken care of.

Most of the hotel staff were unfriendly and rude; we only encountered a handful of staff members who were kind and accommodating. We complained to management multiple times and they were very receptive and understanding, however, I would not recommend staying here. Management needs to have most of the staff re-trained in proper customer service.

By far the best few days we have ever spent on our travelling holiday this year you simply must stay here.. it is better than the brochures can explain we were there a few days ago in the rum shacks on the beach the most friendly staff in this hotel we have come across stunning place leads right onto the beach free sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach but beware the ones not attached to the hotel are expensive (they have red cushions) breakfast is worth the extra.. we are going back from antigua soon but coming back just to go.to this hotel end of March. 5 stars from us *****
