A special guest house in a special city.
On top of the hill close to city center, this small and cozy guest house has the right vibe to be engaging with the owner, staffs and fellow travelers alike. Owner Cat is very well-connected and type of person everyone would like and would help you out with any question you may have about the city with a big smile. As a former photographer/designer you can see her touch around the guesthouse on every detail but also her experience of years in hospitality field makes sure you feel at home understanding the need of nomads. In a way, it felt more like being invited to a local's home with Balkan's warm hospitality than staying at a guest house.response / report this review -

Really amazing hostel. I had an issue in Belgrade when another traveler asked me for money and never gave it back. I left and arrived to Doctors House. By the time I got there, both hostels had coordinated to find my debtor and balance it out in such a way that the Staff at Doctors House paid me back. Amazing.

I've not even entered the house and Cat, the owner of the palce, already came out to greet me and welcome me in. From the first second this hostel felt like a home for me. All the staff are really friendly and helpful, and especially also interested in what you do. Located in a nice neighbourhood I felt more like living in Bosnia for a short while instead of only beaing a tourist in a tourist district. Still I could walk downtown in less than 10 min. As the hostel is very quiet at night, I was able to get enough sleep to get up to photograph sunrise every day. You're coming to Sarajevo? Check it out!

Good location, friendly staff, reasonable prices, full kitchen, full bath in each floor, dorms have lockers, private room allowed my little furry friend, safe street parking nearby, great view on top of hill next to the residence of the French Ambassador; recommend it!

One of the confortablest guest houses i've ever been. Every single detail its perfect, the kitchen is very well equiped, showers are super, the staff is helpful, and friendly. The neighborhood is very interesting to visit, and its close to city center. Its pretty expensive compared to other hostels, but its totally worth it!

Felt like home - Cat the owner is a wonderful hostess, and there were interesting travellers here too. We made a big Christmas dinner together! The kitchen is well equipped with spices and there's local craft beer in the fridge at a fair price. Clean, warm, nice neighbourhood a quick walk to the centre and Turkish bazaar. Stay here!

I was nervous about staying at my first hostel, but this place was perfect! It was incredibly clean (cleaner than my own house) and in a super convenient & walkable location. The woman who runs the hostel is a really sweet American woman who you just want to hang out with.
Since it's at the top of one of Sarajevo's many hills, there are absolutely amazing views from the balconies, too!response / report this review
