The whole place needs a serius renovation. Some parts of the exhibition are interesting, but the museum as a whole lacks orientation on fewer subjects, as none are show half as good as the numerous specialized museums of Sarajevo do it.

The museum now has a permanent exhibition of the war 1992-1995 and how Sarajevians live there during the siege. Most of exhibits are provided by ordinary people. Very hard impressions, but will be useful for anybody who want to know the history of that war.

this museum is a must see, specifically permanent exhibition about living conditions in Sarajevo during the war. As most of the museums in my country funding is geting cut and any contribution helps museum to stay open. While visiting National museum don't miss this one since it is important to us.

This museum is in a very poor condition. There were only few exhibits open, the illumination was poor, the explanations in English few and the interior of the museum was cold.

Excellent museum. 5 BAM for entry , and some parts were under renovation. Loved the exhibition on life in the former Yugoslavia. The Sarajevo war section was as expected very very real.

This is an important museum with a most fascinating and heartbreaking collection about the Siege of Sarajevo. It's a shame that the building is in such poor condition. If you're in Sarajevo then you must go visit; a couple of hours, at least, is needed to carefully examine and think about the items presented.
